I have 3 boats. I'm looking for others here to drive with - none of my friends have boats. either I need to stick to cars & trucks or get some new friends... lol

If you have nitro or gas-powered boats, check with the IMPBA at: 586-790-8125 for clubs. Plus there's a club in Flint (734-326-5447) that hold powerboat races each year.
If you have electric boats, I'll check on those as well-let me know.

I have 2 prather/homelite gas power boats. Both are 48 inches. One is a hell raiser, it will do about 60 mph on the water, the other is basically a painted fun cruiser.
I have one electric 32 inch electric boat. It is basically a painted Jet Stream 800. I am debaiting on keeping it stock or putting a stronger motor in it. DO you have a boat? If so where in GR do you take yours? I was thinking about Riverside Park...

im about an hour southish from kalamazoo. I also have two boats. A traxxas villian, and a 3.5cc tunnel hull that is outta commision right now.

RickE, where in Fl are you? I'm in michigan right now, but I'm from Orlando. I am planing on moving back there (hopefully this fall)
Joe - where do you run your boats? do you ever get to grand rapids? There are a couple of descent ponds but I've yet to get on them because i just got into boating RC's last fall

I just mainly run my boats around my house, (yea, we have ponds..) Or a local lake that my grandparents have a cottage on. I come up to RnL hobbies every once and a while, but havent brought any boats up yet. Right now neither of them are working

I live south of you in Kalamazoo. I know of a few boaters in the G.R. area that are still active. We have one running site in Allegan on Lake Allegan which is part of the Kalamazoo River. I don't know if you can still run R/C boats at Riverside Park any more after an incident there involving a gas 'rigger. E-mail me at owetpaint@aol.com. Sorry that I didn't see this posting sooner. Joe, if you run at R&L, sometimes we run at the Austin Lake access, just up the road from them about a 1/4 mile. I just had another person from the G.R. area e-mail me today wanting to hook up, maybe we can all get together before the snow falls which had better be soon!:D
