While playing with the FMS sim, I see that many of the parameters in the 'par' file are "real world' aerodynamic terms that I've come across while reading "Aircraft Design: A Conceptual Approach" (D. Raymer).
What would be a typical range of CLmax / CLmin values for rc aircraft ?
I've been using 1.0 ... realistic ? (400 - 600 sq in wings)

Hi Mike,
To get a Cl value for a model or full scale, you need to specify something about the airfoil. For example, if the model has a chord of say 8", and a wing loading around 10 oz./ft. sq., A flat bottom standard airfoil would max at about 1.0, while an undercambered section could go to 1.2-1.3, and a symetrical section about .8.
These values will decrease with a smaller/slower model, and could increase with a larger/heavier machine.
I am not sure what you are reffering to by Cl min, so no comment.

Dave,
thx for the numbers.
Time for some more reading ;)
