i do remember the pro cat but not too well. it is a very old car and is probably worth some money to someone who is into schumachers. i have been trying to rebuild and old schumacher top-cat 2wd buggy and they are very rare here in the states. is the car in good condition?

Oh and the car is in mint condition except for the body. It still has original tires with lots left on them.

I used to race a Bosscat, which was the next generation after the Procat. Got one for sale now in the buy/sell/trade forum here.
There's pics too :)
When set up right, you can actually race the car competitively even today. You'd match anything out there even now, it was such a great car. You can still get spares for the Bosscat, don't know about the Procat.
Got a Procat, Bosscat, and Cougar 2000 for sale.
Be careful with the drivebelt tension, or you'll wear them out too often.
I found it difficult setting the rear drivebelt tension properly, never quite got it right, so I wore through drivebelt set after drivebelt set. I'd have to replace rear drivebelts about every six battery packs. If you set the tension too high, you melt the pulleys, if you set it too loose, the same thing happens.
Usually you get a warning first, a kind of high-pitched whistling noise.
I won the local seasonal series in 1996 with a Bosscat. Handles great when you set it up properly. A good tip is to not be tempted to use too hard spring/shock oil setups, and try to limit how far the suspension is allowed to extend (when jumping it can extend so far that it blocks the driveshafts). I even took it to England and raced it there. Unfortunately the level of competition there was very high, I only made the B-final, which I finished 2nd.

Heyy i've got a Top cat too, as well as 2x original cougars and a Shotgun.. Was thinking of getting the topcat running again, just gotta fix the horrible front steering geometry and it might be able to turn corners properly.. Gotta love the F1 front suspension setup though

If anyone has a Top Cat in good condition I am interested. I had one when it first came out, but ditched it when I became sponsered by Traxxas. Not only were the lay down shocks cool, but the o-ring bounce back a-arms were cool too.

WOW I just found this thread and it's dead but oh well here I go. I got a procat and a bosscat. My procat has a front one way diff and is a runner. My Bosscat is New Built with zero marks on the chassis but the stupid rubber band for the front suspension is dead of course.
