Where do you mount your onboard temp gauge on your T-Maxx?

Using 3M double sided tape, mount it where you can see it the best from an angle that doesn't require you to be a contortionist. The top of the battery/Rx box is a good place.

I was going to try to put it on the batt box or reciever box but the wire won't reach?!

Has anyone mounted it on the back side of the fuel tank? I wonder if the shock tower broke would it smash the temp gauge?

The backside of the fuel tank? Wouldn't that be somewhat inaccessable? How 'bout makin' a small aluminum plate and permantly mount it somewhere, preferably lower than the top of the engine, (I'm not familiar with the T-Maxx, btw).

I thought about that but the chassis isn't just a flat plate. There is nowhere the wire will reach that dosn't go over the spur gear.
The back of the fuel tank is all I could think of. But I don't want it getting crushed if the shock tower breaks.

I ran my wire through the rear shock tower and taped it to the back side of the tower, i also put a tip tie around it not tight, but enough to hold it from comming off. With it mounted here you can see what temp your running with out removing the body.
