If you'd like to race, you should plan to attend the HPI Challenge in Austin, TX, August 7, 8 2004! It's a bit of a drive from Dallas to Austin, but there will be racers from all around the country travelling to the race.

Hi, I'm Jim and a new member of RCZ. I live just outside Dallas. I was reading this thread last night and was bitten by the RC bug.

Jeff at BMI hooked me up with a Inferno ST this sunday. Great bunch of guys. This is my first RC and I have no clue to what was up. They set up my Truggy and showed me how to break it in. I'm looking forward to some Sunday racing as soon as I can learn how to drive this thing.

Untill then I will hang with the big boys and learn some of the tricks. Hope to see some of you at the track.

Bhard888, BMI in Dallas is a great RC shop. They are located at 2109 Parker, in Plano. They are open Tuesday-Sunday. The owner is Jessie, he is a great guy and has a very wide selection of RC cars for every age and price range. He is a 10+ in my book. Hope this helps.

Git the RC bug also. Have been looking at several options to buy. Could you help. I know i want to run off-road on dirt tracks in Dallas. Where are they?

Also whats most people running? truggie or buggie? 1/8 or 1/10? Nitro or Elec?

I want the best bang for the buck without over spending. (like when i bought a 600 paintball gun thats really no better than everyone elses 100 gun)
