I have a Hitec receiver for my wingo, and in a crash, the antenna ripped off. I opened it up, and about mid way, I can see what I think is left of the antenna, it is maybe 1/8" long, I am not sure how I would go about repairing this. If you have any ideas I would appreciate them, thanks

Perhaps you could solder the antenna back together? Just be sure you don't create a short circuit somewhere!

I was thinking about that, but I have no experince in soldering, and it is a very small lead to work with. What profesion deals with these things that i might to be able to give/send to?

Hi Joe,
You did not mention the brand of the receiver, but basically all of the companies have a repair department. Once you know the brand, you can look up their website (maybe a search engine) and contact them. They will tell you how to send it and usually what the cost might be.
The other more local approach is to go to a Radio Shack store in your area woth the parts. Many have someone who will solder a wire back together.

Hi Joe,
Sorry about missing the fact that you really did spell out the brand. The fact is that Hitech has about the best reputation in the industry regarding their service department. Try it, you'll like it.
