Thunder Quake does it

Well after all the flustration I have had with little things(shock towers mainly)loose screws.I have my truck where i want it.This past week I went to my track to practice I will race next weekend. All I can say is look out.When I got there I would say there were about 5 maxxes practicing 3 with .21 hypers 2 with .15's.I show up with my TQ and its torq 21 stock with ofna pipe.people where telling me I did not have a chance that my truck would not make the tight turns like there maxx's. and they would walk all over me.Well lets just say I was the one laughing in the end.I line up with the t maxx's and that was the last time they were near me.I am not one to brag but I dusted them.There was one maxx out of the 4 I raced that gave me a good run but in the end I was one of the last ones standing.One guy tryed to t bone me on a courner and maxx parts were flying what a sight.I even lapped one of them twice.In the end my TQ and one maxx were the only ones to finish.after that no one had much to say.Will have to see what happens on race day next week.I do like t maxxes infact I almost sold my TQ and bought one
but after I saw what it was capable of doing on the track I think I'll keep it.Look out all you maxxes the TQ has arrived.I have added only a few hop ups to my truck and i am very happy with it.The one thing I did do that has made a big differance is carbon fiber shock towers no more bent towers.

Thats what we like to hear! T-Maxx's "aint all that and a bag of chips", its just that the owners (or the majority) are arrogant. Glad you like your TQ, I can't wait to get my Dominator..... hmmmm Dominator v TQ ;)

i thought the TQ would be faster anyway because of the suspension and the chassis setup, it is just all around better. i like the maxx ok but people see it as god and no other monster truck can beat it but this is simply not true, u slap a .21 kit in it and u expect it to beat a Kyosho MP7.5 around the track well it aint going to happen!

good job man the TQ i hope will stop all of this maxx insanity.

Good job Quake&Shake, and best of luck next week, hopefully the T-Maxxer's will race a little "cleaner" this time, but will probably gang-up on you, after probably spending another pay check in their T-Maxxes.

Do you have any pics of your truck with all the mods you have done to it?

How does it handle in the air? Is it really responsive to throttle input?

If you are ever able to run your MP Dominator against a TQ, let us know, it will be really interesting to get feedback front a shutout like that.

I did not get my towers at tower hobbies.The ones i got are .125 thick the ones at tower hobbies I beleave are .080 thick.I bought from wind tunnel racing
there web sight is www.Windtunnelracing.com they also make other stuff for our trucks nitro quake or thunder quake.

VZLA You have me mixed up with gtmaniac he is the one going to race not me. Too bad tough I would really like to go racing with my Quake. I work week-ends.

What ofna pipe did you use? I am converting my Nitro Demon to a MT and hopping it up as I go. Thanks. :p

I got mine on E bay.use search punch in .21 tuned pipe or duratrax then look for ofna pipe for .21 the disc of pipe will say new ofna pipe really gets the ponys out of your .21 and it does

I am going to call Ace and Nitro Hobbies to see if they have them. I seen a picture in a Ofna ad. Looks good.

what other pipes will give me some good top end for my TQ i was lookin at the cvec pipe any others out there to choose from :confused:
