I have a clod II and am going to get better motors and batteries for it to make it climb hills better. I am thinking of getting the trinity monster maxx pro motors with peak performance 2400 maxx batteries. Will this be a good combination for good power and run times of at least 10 minutes? Also, will locking the diffs be a good idea and how can I do this?

i dont really know about locking the diff's,i think you reverse a sun gear? That sounds pretty good combo but i would rather get sapphires or magnetic mayhems.
im not sure about the quality of those batts but they sound like a good deal

locking the differentials will make it better to climb because all the wheels will spin,if your stuck just one wont be spinning all will,it will reduce handling though
its hard to explain
with the mag. mayhems you will get over 12 minutes im guessing.
and probobly about 9 with 17 turns?

the magnetic mayhems are a good choice.
do not get the monster maxx motors unless you have a novak/traxxas evx speed control as these motors run on 14.4 volts.
if you want to lock your diff. you can fill the diff with hot glue.
but like jdm3849 said you will have handeling problems.
one of the problems is less run time as locked diffs take more power to turn.
hope this helps!
