What would happen to my truck (Terra Crusher) if I replaced the stock side-mounted exhaust with a rear-mounted dual exhaust? This modification would require that I use about a 2.5" elbow extention to reach the exhaust mounted across the rear of the truck.
Would I lose (or possibly gain) performance? Would I lose performance at the low or high end?
Can I make any tunning adjustments to compensate for adding the rear-mounted dual exhaust if I lose any performance?
Thanks in advance!

You will lose performance and your eardrums. No tuning can adjust that.

okay, I'm curious though.
Is there a reason why I would lose performance?
Why would the truck get louder? It's still got an exhaust on it. Do you mean that dual exhausts are just louder in general?

Well I gave it a shot. At first performance suffered badly, but I found an adjustment inside the exhaust pipe to increase power over fuel efficiency. OMG! It made all the difference.
I now have a mess-free, rear-mounted, dual exhaust on my Terra Crusher. It's so cool seeing the smoke pour out the rear of the truck! And it suffers no performance loss. In fact, I think it is faster and may even have more torque.
Yes it's louder too, but in a good way. It has a rumble like a Harley (only on a smaller scale).
Everyone should try this mod! I found it on www.terracrusher.net in the 'hopups/mods' section.

you should probably mention you are using the CVEC pipe, everyone will think you are talking about the "home depot special" rear exhaust setups they sell on ebay...
lengthening the header like you did will actually increase bottom end (within reason of course), couple that with a nice pipe like the CVEC and i'm not surprised it works well...have fun with it
