I just purchased a GWS Zero. Can someone please tell me which radio system I should buy? I would like to be able to use it in other electric models and have V-tail mixing capabilities.
Also what charger would be the best to get to charge 6, 7, and even 8 cells battery packs?
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

But I must say you're lucky! :)
I'm using a Hitec Flash 5X-G (with my Wingo and soon a Tiger Moth). The 555 receiver has been great. No problems that I could detect. I am new to this though... The Flash 5 should handle all the mixing functions you need, and has a 5th channel for gear retracts (bomb drop, camera shutter) if you ever need it... Info on hitecrcd.com It's a computer model, so settings are saved for each model. Very handy!
I bought a Supernova 250 battery charger - seemed to be the best one to cover Nicad, Nimh, and alot of cell pack choices (# of cells), and charge rates. I plan to be doing this for a while, so why buy a bunch of chargers? It runs off a 12 volt source, so you can charge in the car, or at home off a power source (I had a 12 volt powersupply.) People have been using old Computer supplies successfully, and threads can be found about it either here or on ezone. It's a bit more expensive, but can be found on FMA Direct's website, fmadirect.com
Hobby Lobby sells chargers from hitec, and their Jeti chargers that are cheaper and can handle 4-8 cells (but make sure you read their description completely, as one needed to have your car running to charge an 8 cell pack I think!) You can easily check them out at hobby-lobby.com under electric flight accessories in the electric planes menu.
Hope that helps a bit. Sorry I can't offer any hints on the Zero itself. If you have any more questions, just ask in this thread.
Mike.
I have to agree with Iglooman. The Hitec is one of the best, futuba's as well, but for all applications in terms of power system go's. I have been using a lot of hitec system, and using a futuba radio. I should have gotten a Hitec, but that's another story. Hitec has like I said the system that fit's in most park flyers. In most (All) of my speed 450/480 powered airplanes (400 motors are too slow) I am satisfied with Hitec products. I am currently using 555 rx and 55 servo's (Hitec)
Supernova chargers will also be my top choice:D
Check out Servocity.com and Futuba website and compare the price on futuba's and Hitec, you will see a big difference, but then again is not the radio's, and the power plants, that we have, it's the skill that we learn. You can go even cheaper. GWS is now also getting popularity of there power plants and radio's. You might want to check them out as well, and compare spec's, and what is comfortable for you.:D

David,
Did you get things sorted out? Is the Zero airborn?
Sorry for not getting to you sooner - usually hang out in the parkflyer section.
Mike.
