Just started trying to do more advanced painting job with my new sedan body, and I've got problems with liquid mask. I applied two coats and let it full dry. But when I try to cut it, it usually tears as I go, making unclean cuts. I'm using a new xacto blade, and using "micro mask". Is it not sticking to the body well enough? Or do I need more/less coats? Thanks.

You really need 4 thick coats of it. If you are using Parma, you need a good 5 coats. Are you cleaning the body well enough?

the least amount of coats would be 4 coats,2 is not going to work it will just rip and tear as you pull it off put a couple more coats on and let them dry and you shouldnt have a problem then.

I use TONS of coats (like 7 -9 ) Alot of times i find the best way to "paint" liquid mask is with an old paint brush and i do the coats in alternating directions ( a tip i learned from Bob H. )

I use the Hobbico liquid mask and I would say to to use at least 3 or 4 coats of mask. You will have big time problems trying to peel it off if you use one or two coats.
