Ok, this is the problem that I am facing. I am looking to get another airbrush exclusively for painting my rc bodies. I have two already, a Paasche V and a Iwata CM-C. Both are excellent airbrushes, but I was told that they really weren't the best for spraying Faskolor. Which airbrush do all of you airbrushing afficianados recommend? If anyone wishes they can contact me on yahoo IM at Dustyboy_25 or on AIM at Rockman X MSH

Thanks

You definitely do not use a CM-C with Createx or Faskolor...for the money, go with the Revolution(HP-BCR or CR)..you can get reallly fine lines as well as a large spray pattern. Probably more cost effective than an Eclipse. The closest thing i would recommend using with Createx and not add Retarder or Reducer is the HP-C with the 3.5mm needle.

Just a thought,

Charlie -
Is it really necessary to use retarder with the Createx paints???
I have been spraying them straight from the bottle to lexan.
Are they going to eventualy peel or crack??

Absolutley Not. You can definitely spray right out of the bottle. I was referring to using a Micron Airbrush. It has such a small needle you will have to reduce the createx to be able to use it. Createx will not peel unless the body was conatinated with something like oil or grease.

I use the Iwata Eclipse CS and love it. I plan to get a Revolution soon so I have one for wider areas too.

what ever you do, don't buy a badger. they suck the peep. I know thats what I use. going to get a iwata soon(b-day next month or maybe fathers day).

where can you get createx? Micheals? I've heard that there are two different types, which is right?

thanks rob

Forgive me as I am just getting back into this after being away for 10 plus years but I wanted to ask a question here.

I am a signmaker by trade and use alot of One shot paint for my work. Anyone ever use this stuff on a body? I love the stuff it coats so well and looks so good. I do know it is one of the few still lead based paints if that means anything.

Anyone have a thought on this?

little al, try posting your question as a new thread so more people will see it.

The only problem with one shot is that it is brittle. I have used this in making signs myself and i love it. What rc paint needs is flexibility and that is what Createx provides. Createx was originally used for T-SHirts until it was discovered that it has Zero tollerance to chipping on lexan.

Yep right with ya charlieB, I thought that would happen and didn't really think it would work but figured you folks that do it would know...................

diesel757 , Thanks , I really didn't think it would work either but I just love working with that brand of paint. With brushes it flows sooo nice . I belive charlieB is right on.

Thanks again.
