First of all.
1) amp. on the Jr-NEA-100B? Do a quick search on the JR. and see if it's for airplanes.
* The reason, that I asked is that we at times over look.
2) Team Astro. again, do a Q.S on their site's, that should answer your questions.
*If those ESC works on your airplane, but is applied in an airplane with different power system set-up.
a) you will destroy your airplane.:(
b)" " and fry your on board system.

The Astro 217 is an aircraft speed controller, but it is a universal model that lacks some of the features necessary for small park flyer aircraft.
First it lacks BEC circuitry. It stands for "Battery Eliminator Circuit". Most small aircraft speed controls hook to the battery, to the motor, and to the receiver. The speed control regulates the proper voltage to feed the receiver. This allows you to use one battery pack for both the motor and receiver thus saving weight. They also have automatic cutoff circuitry to shut off the motor once the battery pack drops below 5 volts. This allows the battery to continue to work the receiver and servos to land the aircraft. The 217 does not have a BEC, so a seperate battery would have to be used for the receiver, nor does it have automatic cutoff.
At .58 ounces it is also a little heavy for the smaller aircraft.
I am not familiar with the JR that you mentioned so I cannot comment on that one.
I have had good results with the "Electrifly" speed controls made by Great Planes. GWS also makes a complete line of controllers. I am sure others will chime in with their favorite brands.
