Hey. I have just mastered the basics of flying, and a few loops too, and would like to expand. I have a 6 chanel radio, and 2 extra servos, + some hinges left over. I was thinking about puting some ailerons on it. Has anybody ever tried it? I guess i would need a y splitter, and maby some servo extentions, is that it? What do you think about it?

I don't recommend it. The Wingo/Soarstar wing is known for its self-righting characteristics thanks to a generous amount of dihedral. I'm not one to say for sure, but I suspect any ailerons added would not be sufficient enough to effectively overcome that. Probably wouldn't be much fun even if they could.
Perhaps someone well versed in their knowledge of ailerons could comment?
On the other hand... If it did work, the self-righting effect of the wing might make the transition from rudder to ailerons more interesting. :)

Hi, The wingo is a real poor candidate for aileron conversion. With the high wing and low CG, the ailerons would have to come up with some potent forces to achieve any action. Added to that is the curved dihedral right where the ailerons would need to go. Enjoy the 3-channel set-up and switch planes when the time comes.
Cheers, Dave
