I have had the Megastealth B2 for two weeks now and crashed it 15 times because it woudn't get off the ground. Found out later the prop was installed backwards from the factory.

Now it flys pretty fast and launches right from my hand but it tail-spins almost every time if I turn too hard. It's so responsive to the stick, it's hard to stop it.

Anyone got any comments?

Try changing the throw measurements, and fool around with it for a while, until you can be well familiar to it's flight and responses:)

Thanks for your reply but I am sorry I did not make myself clear. After it is up 40-50 feet and if I turn too quickly, it tails spins to the ground. It is really responsive to the stick and 1/4 inch turn to the right or left too sharp and down it goes.

I just ordered a Futaba XA6S and I guess I could replace the receiver and adjust the controls accordingly on the Futaba but ZI would like to use the Megatech transmitter and avoid the extra cost.

Thanks for your prompt reply!!!!

I too, apologize for not asking how high you were flying your plane, for me, that a good considerable height, getting a good stability and reaction time for correct is enough to pull out of a spin. stick up, throttle down, ailerons to the opposite direction of the spin of the rudder:)

--- Take of right off your hand. Man, lou, you got yourself a rocket, I bet, the thrill of flying your plane is fun:) Give me some more report, and changes, as well, as modifications.:)

Thanks,

Hi loumoll,

I am not an expert on the flying wings, but you may want to re-check the CG that your manual calls for. It may need to be moved forward a little more. Also a tight turn will probably require some up elevator to maintain altitude.

Dale

Well it doesn't exactly jump out of my hand, what I meant is a simply toss, no running. Responding to the tail spin is going to be tough since I am excited as hell when I'm flying it and when it spins, I have to try not to panic. I do apply up elevator in the turns but I'm telling you, it's sensitive as heck. I'll work on it, thanks. The manual doesn't say anything about the center of gravity and inside the hull is a cut out compartment where the receiver lays as it comes from the factory. I guess I could change it but the plane is really heavy for a 48" wingspan foamie, I'm not sure the little board is causing the spins to occur more oftern that it would. Aslo is a compartment for the seven cell AA batteries in the front, no way to mive this, not even 1/16th. It's the coolest thing in the air though, you should see the looks I get. I would imagine it's pretty acrobatic, but until I get the plane to calm down, no tricks for me yet.

I don't think you have any problem. Just Nervy:p more stick time and your off towards your addiction. :D I panic, eachtime I fly my Cub, even though, I have flown them, well above anyone flown a Piper Cub:) Mix with thrill and excitement:) The feeling you get, when you have to go to the Bathroom :) (you feel me?:p )

On the real on there is a computer doing all these billions of calculations per second changing flaps on the outside, to keep it in the air. I heard a story from some guy who is in the UKAF (RAF) about some B2, which was shot by an AA gun, and was shot down, cos a bullet pierced a wire!
