I seem to have misplaced my spinner bolts for a two inch plastic spinner. Are these needed badly or can the spinner stay on in flight without them?

If you leave the bolts out, very bad things can happen. Probably the worst is the spinner coming loose after takeoff, going through the prop and breaking a blade. This will cause enough vibreation to rip the engine out, and possibly tear up much of the nose enen before the tailheavy crash. Best to replace them.
