Hi, I am considering buying a Megatech Capitol Flyer. I currently have a Firebird 2. I was hoping for a little more excitment. If anybody has flown one, please let me know how it flies, and if you think it would be a good second plane. Thanks for the help. Dan.

fj40maxx,

Welcome to Eflight. :)

The airplane, that caught your eyes is incredibly a nice looking airplane, the price is right. It looks superb, when you vision it in the air soaring the blue sky on a clam Sunday fun fly. By the airplanes website or box description. This airplane is Megatech's ........ so and so, that is perfect and beginners in mind. Radio, batteries and charger all in one, and you will be flying within minutes from box to field.

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. :) Don't invest your money in frustrations nor on a headache. Invest wisely, and invest in something that can brings fun outta life....

You'll definitely get more excitement. Won't fly much, but it'll be exciting.

I appreciate the help, but has anybody flown one? If so what are it's bad points, or good points(if any)? Thanks again, Dan.

Dan,

I haven't flown the plane, nor would invest in buying one. Ebay has lot's of stock mounting the R/C airplane page of those planes. Judging from the airplanes durability and spec.'s. Man, $$$ down the drain.
The points, neither good or bad can at times be left to you to judge. Megatech airplane is not a good airplane, sorry to break your feelings like this, but if your willing, really want to fly. The threads that I posted, in an earlier post should have given you hints, that your airplane stinks, and fly's like a blind hawk. You will have a tougher time with that airplane, and frankly, that mega airplane will not teach you, but discourage you into pursuing the fun in flying.

1) You don't have building skills, as of yet, one crash will keep you grounded, and more money involved.

I bought my first airplane, thinking, that all I wanted to do is fly one airplane for fun, and that was it. Guess what? I am loving it, and it's not cheap. Now I work 6hours instead of 3. I looked around, same as you. Asked questions and got good answers in return.

The airplane Sucks...:D (bad point)

Save you money get something else, easy and enjoyable(Good point):D
