Ok I need a little help I found this little plane sitting around and I dont no the mfr and since the planes are gone model is built Im thinking about installing a electic system to see if if will fly my bigest problem is the center of gravity thing.. is there a way to figure it out based on measurements or something...

see picture attached

wing size is 36"
fus size is 28"

plane had a 049 cox motor on it but Im told never flown...in great shape just need any help trying to balance the little guy...

Hi Robert,
If you measure the chord (width) of the wing and divide that by 3, that should be the dimension back from the LE for the balance point. In other words, start with the CG 33% back from the LE.

I guess that I am not very scientific, but I like to glide mine over tall grass and see if they stay on an even keel. This is probably a holdover from the rubber power days and it checks for minor wing warp.
