Ok i just got my second ebay car and it has an old MSC and it blows... i can manually move it but the radio wont trun it when i pull the trigger ... Im thinikin i just want to replace it with a ESC and Radio.
What would be the stpes to trouble shooting this problem.

The most likely problems are that either the servo has broken gears, the servo's completely dead, the reciever's dead, or the radio's dead.. either way, something's broken.
Try connecting the steering servo to where the MSC's servo is connected in the reciever, if the steering servo moves, you know it's a problem with the MSC's servo.
If it doesn't move still, you know it's either the reciever or radio, in which case you can try using the radio with a different car (as long as the reciever is compatable with the radio of course), and then narrow it down to either the radio or the reciever.

Prinler,
Please don't waste your time...........buy an electronic speed control!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mechanical take up too much room on your kit
Buy a Novak Explorer II, it has a motor limit of 15 turns (don't go any lower), and you can buy one new for $48-$50......depends were you look.
Good luck
