I got a Tekin TSC 411-G2 used and without instructions. Now, lemme get this straight before I fudge up the ESC...the connection posts are labeled "- bat", "- mot", and "+ bat/+ mot" (just 3 posts). OK, the way I'm wiring it right now, I have the negative from the battery going to the - bat post and the negative from the motor going to the - mot (actually, there are Deans Ultra's between them). Now for the + bat/+ mot, I have a red 12ga. wire soldered to that post which will go to the + of the battery and a "T" soldered part way up from the post with a yellow wire which will go to the motor +. Now does this sound right to you? Wanna check before I fire it up.
Thanks.

Let's see: -bat going to -bat, -mot going to -mot, +mot/+bat "spliced" so one is going to +mot, other to +bat..sounds about right :)

OK, thanks. It looked right to me but I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing somthing. Or maybe there was somthing 'special' that needed to be done with this ESC.
Now, does anyone know how to set this ESC up. I see 2 small 'internal' screws. One labeled throttle. I'm guessing the other is brake. Turn these to set the endpoints, right?

The other one is neutral and I forget what that does :) I think throttle is for centring forward/brake. Eh, you'll just have to play with them :)

OK, I played around with it some. The small screw labeled "throttle" adjusts its percentage of throttle application. The other small screw sets the neutral. The light turns green when it is dead neutral.
In regards to the wiring, what I did was solder a Deans Ultra male connector in "T" fastion as the red wire goes directly to the motor. And the negatives go to there respective positions.
Well, all is well and operating smoothly. An improvement over the stock ESC even if it is a much older design. Thanks for your help Gutter Ball :) .
Tekin's ESC'S are still some of the best ESC's out there I'm running a G-9 and it is plenty fast.I wish someone would start the company back up they had great products.

I was able to get the G9 and 3 412G111 before supplies dried up.
There is a company that is still doing repairs on some Tekin Chargers and ESC. Express Tech is the name, the only means of contact is email and phone, sorry I don't have it readily available.
I've gone to the LRP speedo and that seems to be on a par with the Tekins.

Does anyone know the specs on the 411G2? I'm especially interested in the 'on-resistance'. But if ya know all the specs, please post those also :) .

I've been away at college and all my r/c's have been packed away in the storage room. I'm trying to get them all working again but I'm having trouble with one of my electrics. I'm more of a nitro buff so help would be appreciated. Last time I used the truck (which was very long ago) everything worked fine. But now only the steering works and the throttle is giving no response. The nuetral is set properly (its lit partially green and red) and I have no idea where the throttle is set. When I pull the trigger the nuetral light changes to red, like it always has, but I get no response. Any suggestions?
