I have started to break in my C5 buggy engine and it is running really hot. I stopped the engine when my temp gauge read 319.5 F. I couldn't believe how hot it had gotten. My os engine got to at most 150 F during break in! The high speed needle is at 5.5 turns and I am unsure about the low speed, but it is pretty far out. All the needles are very rich. I just don't understand it. I am running 20% nitro/20% synthetic oil fuel (YS 20/20). Please help me, want to get it going but can't! Too hot. Is it supposed to be this hot?
