Hi.
I'm getting a Fire Blade this week (used) and if it drives good etc. after me playing with the setups, I will be buying the new EVO SE to race with. I did run AE buggies (RC10B3FT and a RC10T3) but I'm from England (now living in the States) and wanting to run a British buggy! :D
Just my 2 cents worth,
Dale

Hi schmacher
So, what do you think to your Cougar 95 Team? I had one of those as I said when I raced and lived in England. Mine was fully carbon fiber and it had every possible upgrade out for it. Sadly though, I was stupid enough to sell it and get my first Losi XX. Still, in my opinion, my best R/C buggy I had in England was the Cougar. I raced just about every other buggy too but they didnt' seem to be up to par like the Cougar was.
Now, in the States, since I started racing again, I've ran a AE RC10 T2, AE RC10 T3 Losi XXX, AE RC10 B3 and now, after selling all those, I'm back to my Schumacher buggies. I just hope they drive as good as they do in the UK.
Thanks,
Dale

Hi again Schmacher
If you need any help in finding your Schumacher parts, well Schumacher in Florida (there the main distributer for the USA) has plenty of parts in stock for the old buggies. Also, I know a store in England called Apex Models and they can ship Schumacher parts to the USA. Apex Models are the main distributers for Schumacher in England too.
Hoe that helps you in any way possible,
Dale.
PS - If you know of any one selling a cheap CAT 3000, let me know. Ive had all the previous CATS even the CAT XL! but I've never had a CAT 3000. Also, for your Cougar 2, check eBay for those also as a NIB one sold just recently. (I had some of those buggies too and they ran pretty good. But the ones I had were the belt drive trannys and I wasn't too 'keen' on them)

I buy a used Cat 3000 and got the chance of running with it last weekend,I manage to get a second place in A main with it and it was the very first time I use it and the first time I run 4 by 4 electric car.As you may think I'm very happy with this car,I get this car in a trade and I'm gladd I did it.By the way I run in a very rough track and was the only one who manage to clear a triple jump we got,2 of the Losi cars broke in that part,so another satisfied SCHUMACHER owner,Ray.

From the researching i've been doing i've found these cars in order of how i like them
1. cat 3000
2. cat xls
3 fireblade evolution 2000
4 cat 2000
which one do you think is best for a beginner going to novice/pro.
All i have is a rustler and a tight buget. (going brushless - hacker car = c40 6t s= $354 US = $550 can) Plus i'm 14 so a good paying job is zip.
any od you have these cars can you tell me what they are like?
Price used? Parts needed? easily breaking parts?
thanx :)
I guess it depends on whether your looking to get in to a 2wd or a 4wd . The evo is the only 2wd you mentioned . In 4wd the 3000 and the 2000 are both great cars . The 3000 is the newest and probably the fastest . I have had both and if your new to it I would probably recomend getting the 2000 . Just because when I had the 2000 I could set the car up and forget it . I could almost always run the same set-up everywhere and I could run in the front group . Forget the xls it's a fast car , but it's alot of work to keep it running right . As for parts about the only thing I've found that you need as spares , are the front steering knuckles . But the main reason those break is that someone used a ball stud thats to short in the top of the knuckle .

i'm probably going 4wd but the 2wd goes faster with brushed motors, and 4wd goes better in turns, which the rustler stadium with stock eveything including msc, except for oil and tires (dirt hawg-back and old back with thumb tacks for the front) pushes like theres no tomorrow. i just tried the thumbtacked fronts o carpet and imagine a car turning in slowest, then going full speed and turning almost the same. imagine a 4wd car with tacky wheels. :) :D
Since i haven't spent much money on my car it is going to be easier to get the car i want.
Is it better to get the cat 3000 for 40 $ more than the updated version of the evo if you have TOO MUCH power (i.e. brushless 1-1.5 hp for 540 size - 5 hp for 800 gram unknown size)
:) :) :) :)

Well I joined the club I have gotten a cat3000 got it off e-bay for 265.00 it already has everything i would have done to it alloy bulkheads, titanium, alloy shock seals the car is loaded, I can't wait. I am pretty good with 4wd and I just got tired of being in the losi majority. I might be needing some setup help from any of the schumacher guys out there as there are none in my area. also I run on mostly rough tracks that are semi hard packed and some rough tracks that are soft dirt such as black dirt, any help would be appreciated.
Just wondering if anyone here has an old Top Cat/Cougar. I've pulled mine back out and it has a broken rear shock tower...I also don't have a book. Can anyone give me a part number for this? Thanks.

I also got a car off e-bay. I got a used Cougar 2000. It is my first car.It is heavily modified (Carbon fibre, special electric motor e.t.c.). I am going to race it next year, I also going to build my own track and any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Josh.

I have a FT B3 for 2wd but I'm thinking of trying 4wd in the summer. I was leaning towards the XXX-4 but after seeing the last championship dominated by a CAT-3000 I will probably get one of those. I know that they hardly ever break but are there any upgrades I should get?
Thanks

Hi, I have a Schumacher Fireblade Evo over here in the UK, I think it is an excellent Buggy. The only set-up sheets i know of for the fireblade are on the schumacher website at www.racing-cars.com
There are set-up sheets for all of schumacher cars on there.

Is this true? I thought the XXX 4 was dominating or something. I'm thinking of a CAT and this would definitely change my opinion.

I have a fireblade and was wondering what tires everyone is using. Somebody before sugested some different losi tires like wide rib reds for the front and bigshot reds for the rear. I just need them for racing around my house not for racing yet. Any sugestions.
Thanks

Also has anyone with a fireblade converted to the losi front axles. I saw someone on the web who had and it looked pretty good. If anyone has done this could they please give me some tips. I think the front axles on my fireblade are the weakest point of the car. They have far too much play for my liking.
Thanks

hey guys, ive got a trade offer for a cat 3000, i was originally looking for a xxx4 or a mrbc super dog fighter 2, but the guy sent me some pics and it looked pretty good, the thing is, i would like to know what kinda tracks its better on, i think i read somewhere that schumachers were better on loose rough tracks, but im racing on an extremely high bite blue groove track, so sticky that if you walk on it your feet stick to the ground. right now the 4wd drive class consists of about 8 xxx4s and one xx4, but we are gonna host a big race, and i assume theres gonna be like 25 or more 4wd's and id like to race that class instead of 2wd.
parts wont be a problem by hobby shop stocks all kinds of parts for that .21 schumacher truck so im sure they can get me cat parts. anyways, what do you guys think, can i compete with it on a wide open high bite track?

One week ago I bought Schumacher Cat 98/2000. I´m not sure which one is it for basics, but I have both carbon fibre bodies. I paid 70 € for one car, 2 motors (Trinity, HPI), transmitter, receiver and lots of spare parts, wheels and tires. There´s lot to do, but I´ll put some pics, when I make progress.. :)
