Tamiya Astute Thread

Hello,

Just dug this car out of the closet and was wondering if anyone had one, or knew where to get parts for it. Currently the car is complete however I only have on road tires and no spare parts as I left them at my fathers house whom I no longer associate with.

Nice compliment to my team car, and cannot wait to get them both to the track to run.

I have a body for the Astute, in pretty good shape, painted in Tamiya's metallic-red spray, has had two holes drilled and the front mounting hole extended, so it could be used on a Madcap. (basicly same car, only plastic tub chassis)

Check ebay. Many parts interchange with the Map Cap and the Saint Dragon (how many remember that one?). The Astute and later Super Astute were Tamiya's top 2wds at the time. There was a long dry spell between the Fox (Tamiya's previous competitive 2wd buggy) and the Astute.
