I know there has to be some F1 guys out there. I have a HPI Super F1. It is the graphite kit. It has a LRP ICS digital ESC, and a Green Machine 3. It is so much more fun to drive than my TC3. Our local club races an F1, so I got one to improve my driving.

I have a Tamiya F103RS chassis with a McLaren Mp4/13 body. Is quit standard now, I put an 23t pinion (from another noname car :D)instead of e standard 17t.

I'm thinking to buy an F201, or an Corally C4 of to tune my F103RS, but I don't now wicht to choose :)

What would you do guys?

I'd get a F201, they're cheap and Tamiya already has a buttload of hop-ups coming, and you know other companies will follow.
I myself have a F103RS, I love it.

I organize a scale F1 race out here in Hawaii...we run for 35mins and usually have 2 pit stops for changing batteries...it's a lot of fun. I race the F103RX in mine and we allow the F201 as well. Right now the F201s have a cornering advantage as traction isn't too good for the F103s but the 103s are definately faster.

Yes get the F201.

For the Record.... Other companies has released a ton of option parts already way before Tamiya ... and Tamiya followed.

Am I mistaken or did I see on board camera on the list of hopups. It would be so cool to be able to have on board video. Itd feel just like a real race

According to that list a front tire is 1200 yen (whatever USD that converts to)

The "on-board" camera is also 1200 yen.

Laquer thinner's killed a lotta my braincells, but I can still figure out the 1200 yen camera is just a non-working replica of the module they use.

One possibility is to add Plantraco's wireless camera (http://www.plantraco.com/product_ptv16.html) to the car.. maybe replace the helmet with the camera-head. Carry a portable TV and tune it to channel 16 to recieve the signal.

Or maybe wear a Sony Glasstron (http://www.vstore.com/products/m193/p1162193/fullsize.jpg) and really drive from inside the cockpit.

Here's a Tamiya Williams F11B (kit #58069) that I have recently acquired. Oldie but goodie. Not very adjustable, but adjustable enough.

I stuck a 12x2 in my f103 with a good 3000 pack just to see what it would do on our local carpet track. Wheeeew!! super fast. Its fun though. I have the carbon upper deck graphite rear shaft and 64 pitch spur. I am also using an hpi shock. I love my f1 car and want to get the new 4wd Tamiya as well.

Hey all of you F1 fans, I just recently aquired a brand new HPI super F1 in the box at my LHS. The box sais 1994, but it was never sold or opened an had 2001 apparel ads in it. It's the graphite kit!! (actually the owner had two of them!!!)
Anyways I just wanted to say that I love this thing. I put a speed gems 17x2 in it with 2400 cells and it rocks!(if I can keep it tracked strait, it will push 50mph!). I bought the car to help tone my driving skills (I also race a TC3 locally), and after the first drive, I just can't wait to find more people who drive these things. I really learned a new appreciation for REAL R.C. driving. It takes a very special touch and a very special type of person to handle one of these super machines. They really move like the real thing, and I love that exotic value!

Hello, Just wanted to know if there was anybody out there with a Kyosho Impress F1 car ? I got it off e-bay and it has about every aftermarket part you can get for this car.It's faster than the F103's.I have not seen anybody with one.

Dear People of West Michigan,

I'm spending time trying to get some owners of hobby shops in the area to host f1 car racing. Because the greatest cars are getting harder and harder to find, I'm suggesting a "run what ya brung" kind of thing

Pan F1's, f201's, F103's, the kyosho car and several others and bring them all together to race.

Now what I need are people interested in racing their F1 cars so we can get something in this area going. It would be a great way to be able to race our favorite cars, and get more people into the sport.
