My Villian is having a very bad problem running it will not pick up speed and the parts get very hot within a couple of seconds even the wires get hot....The boat makes strange noises as like it is running down or trottling up but it isn't doing it..I have put charged batteries in it but it doesn't do any good....Does anyone know what this could be??please help:(

Make sure your batterypacks are dis-connected and then see if the gears are okay (no teeth missing, etc.) and then turn the props by hand and see if the noise is present. If not, it could be a bad bushing in either one of the motors or in the driveline parts between the motors and the props themselves. Do both motors get hot when you try to run the boat? If one does and the other doesn't, you might be able to pinpoint the problem on the "cold motor" side of the Traxxus.

yes the two motors get very hot...do you think that I should have a water cooling kit for my boat? All the parts get very hot...when I turned the left prop it sqeeked when I turned it...Today I might have fixed it but I am not sure...

Sounds like you found the problem. Of course the water-cooling kit will help to keep the heat down, plus it will just expand the life of the motors as well.

still no hope of my boat running right the last Time I went to test it,no speeding up and the motors sound as though they are being over worked and the boat runs down within 5 minutes....It just moves slowly through the water.. it has no reverse, when you go in reverse its not reversing but throttling slowly...

Your props shouldn't be squeeking. Try taking out your motors and spinning the props, they should turn smoothly and easily (frictionless), even with the gear box attached. Also, make sure that your gear mesh is not too tight, there should be a tick of play between the gears. Your wires shouldn't be getting hot, and your boat shouldn't be making strange noises, this is an indication that there is something binding in your drive train. It sounds kinda like your gear mesh is set too tight. Is it adjustable? Any friction in the drivetrain will cause the motor to draw excessive amps, which will heat up everything and won't let the boat perform like it should.
A water cooling system will only help moderatly with heat, and only if you've solved any other problems you might have.
