I have a .16 nitro engine, and it won't run idle, like i put the needle valve as low as i can, because lower would shut it down on neutral, so what do i do to make the boat when in neutral not run in the water, thanks

Try checking your boat's fuel lines for cracks or splits in the tubing. If your boat uses a fuel tank with a line and weighted pickup inside it, the line may have come off inside the tank-just look through the refueling cap hole. Another thing it could be is a glow plug about to go bad-try a spare if you have one.

yesterday i took it out on the pond, and like 10 seconds after a drove it, it just shut down, for no reason, so i had to wait like 2 hours, cause there was no breeze, for it to come back. and another thing that happens, is, like when i push the throttle to full, like one second after a push it, it then accelorates, its kind of like a delay, what do u think is wrong with it?

Sounds like it quits receiving fuel. If the fuel tank and it's fuel tubing is okay, there could be either trash in the carb or a need to open the mixture screws on it a bit.

we just tested it, and like when i floor it real fast from neutral position, its starts choking, and sometimes it shots down, thats probably what happened at the pond yesterday, what is wrong with it?

Try making small 1/4-turn changes on the carb needle turning it outward to give the engine more fuel. On land, with the engine running, you'll want to see a bit of fuel blow-back out of the carb when you give it throttle which means it'll have fuel once you load the prop up by placing the boat in the water.

i found out why it kept shutting down after 10 seconds in the lake, its because the muffler broke, and it was leaking air, the air that was leaking, was supposed to be used as a fuel pump, but the air leaked, and the fuel wasn't going into the engine, u were right ricke, it was the fuel not into the engine, but u just didn't think of the muffler, your first thought was the fuel line, well...thanks anyway for ur help

how does that thing with tha fishing rod and tennis ball work, wouldn't it just slip off?

When you cast over the boat the ball stays on the other side and the line will get caught on the antena or if out board on the motor.....one more hint I use spider wire line it is very strong and does not melt.

im just making sure, when the trigger is in neutral, so the engine needs to be set up so when its in neutral and the boat is in the water, it does not move at all?

you are more than likely running it too lean, make it a bit more riches. Check your fuel filter etc to see if its getting feul. Also make sure there is no air bubbles in the fuel line, replace the glow plug and make sure your using a good glow starter with good batteries.
