I do have a question.

I am interested in that truck for my kid because I already have the Type-R version. I have a boat load of spare parts I know are transferrable to the Sport version.

My concern is the tranny top shaft. Have you ever broken one? Because back then when they were doing the review, RCCA staff broke one 5 seconds after initial power-up. The truck felt from their desk to the floor and Baammm. No slipper to absorb the impact resulted in a broken top shaft !!! 3 feet is not that high !!!

I am affraid of it being on the weak side. What are your experiences :confused:

Is there a Slipper clutch that will work on the Sport to replace the stock main gear?

Can you just buy Parts for the R-type and make one? If so which parts?

I just installed a Duratrax Streak ESC into my Ultima. I took the truck out to run it and it's slower then when it had the stock MSC. Does anyone have any ideas on what the problem is and how I could fix it?

Are you sure you have it setup right?

I can't seem to find the Manual on duratrax site but it possible if you just hooked it up that it's not set to go to full throttle.

Werid, My cousin put a Novak Duster on his and it gained a little. Only Duratrax ESC I have however are the Sprint which came on my evader and a Intelli-speed 16T which I have yet to even try.

The review I read on that ESC seem to think it was a pretty good budget ESC.

This seems to the closest to a "ultima ST GP Sport" forum on here...

I picked up a secondhand Ultima st GP (gas) Sports a month or two ago (hey, it was something different to my MPs to drive :D )

These things don't drive too bad at all, and are reasonably strong....considering it's almost entirely plastic.....i've thrown it over some insane jumps at a BMX track and it really hasn't broken anything unexpected.....

So the questions are,

-Does anyone know if there are engine mounts that allow you to bolt in something other than the GX15?.......if so, is there a towerhobbies part no. or something.....i can't find anything.

-what's the deal with the low end response on the GX15s?.......is it pathetic on everyone's car or is it just mine? :).....anyone have a part number list for the GX15?

-aftermarket stuff seems pretty rare.....anyone know where some items could be hiding?.....or compatible items from other makes?

I used this to mount a spare HPI .15 SS engine. It flies now!

Tower Hobbies is a good source of replacement parts for this.

I am getting an Ultima St and was wondering how fast it would travel completely stock. Also what is the lowest motor turn that the chassis could handle, as I will upgrade.

I have the kyosho ultima st and its a pretty tough fast little truck. I ordered a os .18 cv-rx and im gonna strap it in with the sand master engine mount but the stock engine is fine if you add a manifold and a funed pipe it really boosts performance. And as far as that part in australia goes dude i live in australia i buy parts and stuff overseas its 2 times cheaper eg www.towerhobbies.com but your lhs should be able to order one in for you ;). ill keep everyone posted when i get my cv-rx laterz

Hi guys,

Aussie guy here....I have a Ultima GP sports Stadium Truck

Being that the car is old now, it is hard to get replacement parts in Australia.

The parts i need are the following

AE-52 - Bevel Gear
AE-51 - Bevel Gear

Does anyone know if you can use another gear, say a HPI one that will be compatible with this.
