i believe i saw that the 51 is available from gws now

www.gws.com.tw

and i thought i saw it at horizon hobbies website

59.99

hope its more stable than the zero (the review on it said it was)

almost ordered it ...but Mrs. Belgy says if i go buy just 1 more plane, she's gonna leave me (lol) a major part of me was ready to go right out and buy something...anything ....just to push her over the edge....i still might.....but i'll wait a week or two gotta get her to do some lawn work and laundry first (lmao).

i just bought a new zero last week ( to replace and modify the old one ...what do you mean old?? i only had it two weeks before major wreck, and 1-1/2 weeks it was on the build table,.... and i just bought a new pico stick fd yesterday too.)

Horizon hobby does have them for sale now
however they have been back ordered at manufacturing
it seems they can't keep up with the demand on them as of yet
ans so far have only been able to fill the asian and european continental orders, the folks at horizon say they should be getting theirs in the next week or so but are taking orders for them now

this seems to be a very popular item and in high demand world wide

Yeah Ive been waiting for it ever since I saw the add in backyardfkyer. I also cant wait for the B-2. I have the zero. Its pretty cool. I crashed it once because I flew at night, well pretty much so night anyway. I have crashed it since then. People say its hard to fly but it not all that hard. Its the first plane I ever used with ailerons.
I also have another queston. At the GWS sight it says the P51 is a 4 or 5 channel, does it have retracts? I know they came out with new micro retracts.

just like the zero ...they are optional

and i like my zero too!!!!
now that i have it beefed up

i crashed it last night and other than some scratches...no damage
but it is a totaly hands on flyer
unlike my moth or pico fd you can't look away...not even for a minute

20 min flight and i couldn't even light a smoke...lol
still having some minor cog prblems though
but i'll resolve it in the next couple of flights

Yeah the cg is messed up but I got it fixed. I dont know where the real cg is but it flies fine. I put a three blade prop on it because when I crashed it broke the prop and the motor mount. So I had to glue the motor back on the motor mount stick with epoxy. Then I took white elctrical tape and put on the glued area. After that I put some ca on the tape to turn the tape into a plasitc like moterial. Did ypu think sometimes(well most of the time) the instructions werent clear.

lol if you really want to know what i thought and my feelings on the zero go to the "Feedback on Zero page"

my first one got thrashed and trashed

but here's a neat trick for broken mounts...after you get it glued bacl together line bore it full length and insert a light weight epoxy coated finish nail into ( the drill should allow the nail to slide right in) i guarantee it won't break again....well
it might bend a little but that may help reset or adjust the thrust angle this will act as a sounding rod also (so you can hear motor at a good distance more than usual) i now do this with all my stick mount models
and if the wood shatters it makes it easier to mount a new stick end instead of digging the old one from the foam, like a dentist doing root canal(at least that's been my assesment)
lol:D
