Hey, last year I purchased a EP Viper R and I'm startin to get a little bored with it. I want to hop up the motor but dont know what kind to get. My ESC limit is 17 turn. Also, I cant find another jointset for my main shaft like the original one. I tried a breakaway joint set but it just kept on disconnecting. If you guys have any tips I'd appreciate it! Thanks.

Take a look at the Team RumRunner Racing Team website, it's by far the best all-around fast electric 'site I've seen, plus it has a bunch of articles on setting-up various boats like the Viper.

You'll likely find that most folks dump the Viper's stock drive and install a flexable steel cable arrangement, and use it in either direct drive (straight off the motor) or put a gearbox on the 05 motor to make it handle more speed.
