Hi,
I've used the 600 Mah NiMH Firebird battery with good success in my Speed 300 equipped planes. They are the same size and weight as the 350 Mah NiCds.
I currently use 600AEs in my Speed 280BB plane and was wondering about using the Firebird XL 900Mah NiMH batteries in their place. Anyone know the specs for the battery used in the Firebird XL pack? I want to stay around 5 ozs for an 8 cell pack. I guess I'd need to be able to deliver about 5 amps to the motor. I noticed the Firebird XL motor is listed as a Mabuchi 380 motor. Any ideas how much this motor draws?
