I haven't had much luck in the scale forum so I thought I would try Giant Scale.

I am beginning construction of a Yellow Aircraft P-47D. Power will be a G-38. Haven't deceided on a radio yet.

If someone out there has any information (hints and tips) about building this kit I would appreciate it.

Also, I bought the scale cockpit kit that Yellow Aircraft recommends and I am very disappointed with it. Does anyone know of a better cockpit kit that I can put in this model?

I can be reached at mach32@worldnet.att.net.

Thank you for your assistance.

Mach, hey the Yellow Aircraft is an excellent warbird and goes together nicely. I have not actually built one but have seen several at different warbird meets. The G-38 should be OK for power if you build light and don't add a lot of surface detailing. I have seen it fly (82 inch span?) nicely with the Quadra 52 XL and the Zenoah G-45.

Try Jim Sandquist who works at Great Planes. he used to have a company and made scale interior detailing from cast resin. Very nice. his email is jsandqui@hobbico.com

Hope this helps!
