Predator UAV

I'm interested in building a r/c model of the Predator RQ1 UAV, like the one Mike Mulligan built, shown in Aug. 2002 Model Airplane News. I have some pictures of the actual aircraft, but no plans. Was hoping someone could provide some information on where to start, books to read, etc. Thank you.

Thomas, check my article in the March 2002 issue of MAN Page 28. That should get you started. There's several good photos and my 3-view drawing. I could also supply you with a larger 3-view if you like. Let me know

I found an excellent reference to the Predator here http://www.modelairplanenews.com/click_trips/dec03/uav_1.asp
which promises CAD plans for it, but the last page (and presumably the download link for the plans) won't load. Can anyboady help please?

My son bought an 70" electric powered Predator off eBay....flew like crap!

Looks like those plans need a cad program to open.
