You running on 1500s? Eesh .. How's the runtime?

ProjectTwin

Skribble, I know...a Profi and a 1500mAh pack.

Run time is pretty decent...never timed it.

My 2400's are 5-cell packs for the brushless. I use those in the TXT at times while crawling. I should swap one into the Clod...no big deal.

I've had these 1500's since '95 or '96...can't remember.

I'll use'm 'til they puke too! :p

hey pc wizard, what are those pipes who go under the rear bumper for?

are they functionnal? (lets say a muffler)

pcwizard
07-24-2002, 09:27 PM
Those pipes are a dual exhaust system which is really a single pipe off of the header and a "T" that leads to the dual pipes. They are relatively loud, but work great.

CW, that is one of the sharpest looking MP's I've seen, if not thee sharpest!!!

What tires are on it? Are they any better than the stock MP tires? I use the stock MP tires on my EK and compared to the stock EK tires, they are like day & night!

Because I've been devoting my time to my EK, my MP has been just collecting dust. In a month or so, I'm going to go thru it and do it up right, something along the lines of my EK.

Again, NICE WORK!!

RC Jack
07-27-2002, 12:14 AM
Sharp lookin' EK, meesh! I like that stripe down the middle. I was going to that to my EK, but, didn't think it would look good! Boy, was I wrong. %@#$!!! It's been done, now, I can't do it!:D

ps I like to be original.

pcwizard, who makes that Dodge body? I've been looking for a decent one for a while and haven't been able to find any that actually, look like a Dodge!! But, iinstead, the ones that I have found that claim to be a Dodge, have a very round front and don't like a Dodge at all. Also, what is the whelbase of the body?

Right now, I have a....ugh....Ford F-350 on my EK. And my EK being RAM TOUGH, it's only fitting to have a Dodge Ram body!:D

Bigblock, all nitro vehicles need locktite or a dustpan.....to pickup the trail of pieces that fall off. On most pieces, I use the BLUE, (easier to remove); on others, I use the RED, (can be a bear to remove).

One bolt that a lot are having trouble retaining is the exhaust bolts that hold the header onto the block. RED or BLUE, still, sometimes won't hold and vibrate out. After the bolt is slid thru the block to the header, fill that entire area, where the bolt goes thru the block, with BLUE locktite. It'll hold the entire length of the bolt and not just the 3 or 4 threads. To remove it, tighten it up a 16th of a turn, just enough to break the "clockwise" bond, then back it out.

Thanks for compliment, BBTM.

Are the Ek4's a better choice then a .21 T-maxx or should I say sell a .21 T-maxx and get an Ek4

moep
08-07-2002, 03:12 PM
I'd stick with the Maxx.
I've heard so many bad things about the EK-4, like:

diff-troubles
broken engines
2+ Gallons of fuel (+time) for break in
very bad spare-part supply from TTR
needs very much maintenance

and so on...

If your maxx still hasn't enough power for you, drop a 24.7 in there and you'll be fine. ;)
