Stock a Dom goes 38mph but has lots of low end available, which means you can add a taller CB or Spur and get it to 40 but you will lose low end. With a 2-Speed i should of said 45-50 with the right gearing combination. It is also recommended you use a decent torque servo, i use a Hitec HS5645 which has 168oz Torque @ 6 Volts but a HS645 should be enough if its running at 6 Volts too.

re-read my post, you will only get 45mph with a 2-Speed transmission... You wont get 45mph with just changing the stock gearing, you could do it but the truck would most likely be unuseable. I am not entirely sure on what OFNA offer as optional parts to change gear ratio's but i would presume they'd have a higher and lower teeth clutchbells and spur gears available.
And as i said, 38mph is the stock speed with the stock gearing and 38mph for the Dom is plenty fast, it sounds as if your relatively new in which case 38mph will be earth shatteringly fast to you, 45mph will just be frightening to you.

ok thanks!!
im looking forward to using my dom. any suggestions or recomendations for the dom? whats your set up in yours? arent the springs of the dom too hard? does taking out the stablizers help improve offraod capability?
by the way, what rims will fit in the dom aside form the ofna rims. what rims have the same ofset as the doms? thanks!!

Hi, To be honest a monster truck can't really be 'setup', its just how you use it. I would say that it does need stiffer springs though, the included black hyper7 long ones are abit soft and don't hold the truck up that well. You may want to go get 2 pairs of Kyosho Blue Rear MP5/MP6/MP7.5 springs, they work alot better apparently. I am using alot of preload atm to keep the truck up abit, still has plenty of up and down travel though.
I think keeping the sway bars on is a good idea and just experiment with and without them, some at front and some at rear etc etc.... Some people love them being on, some people love have them on the front only and some people take them all off

by the way what wheels have the same ofset as the ofna wheels for the dom? i was planning to get a pair of street tires and i need wheels to mount them on. thanks!!
and what bodies would fit the dom? will the proline bodies for the tmaxx work?

All the Proline Bodies for the T-Maxx look nice on a MP/Dom but you will need to drill the holes in a different location. If you want street tyres just use the MT3 rims that come with the Dom and buy some Maxx Road Rages or something.

the thing is i still want to keep my the stock tires on the doms rims, and have another set of wheels and rims that are for tarmac, so i can easily switch between the 2.

Yea, thought you may want to. No biggy, just buy some new MT3 rims. You can get some now from Ace Hobbies (http://www.ace-hobbies.com/) They're in the MP Option Parts section.
