17t on stock viper

Could i put a 17t speed gems motor on my viper with the stock one speed without frying it?

Go for it. You already said that you are ready to try your ESC (just keep it dry!!)


The stock speed controller (it's a microswitch, right) should be ok. If anything, the internal contacts might weld themselves together and will stick-"on". You might be able to find a heavier-duty microswitch at radio shack. IF it has one, that is.
