I'm having trouble with keeping my Evader from doing spin-outs at ever trun at my local track. I've only raced is once with Pro-Line Speed Hawgs (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p.pgm?Q=1&I=LXDU17&P=7) rear tires, stock motor, stock, shocks, stock front tires, 6-cell pack. What I think is happening is that it spins the wheels and then the rear gose infront of the front of the car (backwards). Am I just hitting the throttle too hard or is my car out of ajustment. When I was racing, I had the slipper cluch really tight, but if I losen it to the point where it can't peel-out, then it's too lose and I don't go anywhere. What should I do? I have RealRace and adjusting different things, like toe-in and camber, it still spins-out!!!.

since the race, I put a 13t mod motor in with a 25 tooth pinon instead of the stock 20 tooth. I forgot to tell you that the local track is really a parking lot with removable wood boarders that my LHS puts on to bring in more buissness. My evader is now about 0.3 inches off the ground with the new shocks. I think it still spins-out, but I haven't been able to drive on a track with the new setup.

EDIT: I thought that you were talking about off-road. You just beat me in posting. If you run on-road, I can't help you, I only run off-road. Sorry :(

Wow, you're slipping out on cement? There are a few things you can try. If there aren't too many big jumps, then you can move the top of the rear shocks to the inner holes of your tower for more side bite. You can also go with a softer spring/oil in the rear, or raise your front ride height for more rear traction. When we raced in a parking lot, we would tighten our slippers pretty good. Hmmm...if your tires were brand new, then your problem could be the flashing that's still on your tires. Wrap some duct tape around them and then peel off. If strands of black rubber are coming off, then that's probably your biggest problem. Good luck!

you could also play around with springs. My rustler kept spinning out with road hawgs but I bought a team associated spring tuning kit and I played around with the springs untill now where I can just peg the throtal and it's all good. I don't know wheather asscociated springs fit over duratrax shocks but you definatly may want to tweek the springs. And about you having the car super low to the ground, I have tried it but I don't think it is the best setup. The way that works best for me is to have the rear end sag down a little below having the a arms paralell to the ground and have the front a arms a tad higher than paralell to the ground. I hope you understand what I'm saying. By the way are you spinning during turns or when you give throtal, you may have your diff too tight if you spin in the turns.

I don't think Associated springs would fit. The Evader seems to like Losi parts. Check it out before you buy.

Either your link isn't working or the tower site is down, anyway I got the ae "front truck spring kit", and the ae "Truck/buggy rear spring kit." I think they come with around 5 pairs of springs green to red, the only color they don't have is black, which is super soft (so I don't think you'll need it anyway). You know if you could get them to fit it might be worth a try to put tc springs in your shocks and a few limmiters inside the shock. I have not tried this though. And about the shocks not fitting they did not fit over my traxxas aluminum shocks but with a little tweeking I got them to fit, I had to rap a little electrical tape on the top of the shock so the spring would fit snugly. I'm taking a stab in the dark right know but I think you need to stiffen up your rear end.

spinning out w/a mod is normal. it just takes alot of throttle control and countersteering with the front tires.

He said he was using a 25 tooth pinion, thats not good, your gonna need to go down to about 21 or 22 teeth, you get better excell and have more runtime.

I would suggest geting road hawgs, their tread is taller but still meant for street and they wont spin as easily.

Where in Minnesota is this track? Whats the name of the place? I have an evader and a X-NT that I could race there if they alow nitro's.

it's really not a real track, but they set it up every wednsday at around 4:00 pm in the parking lot. It's at HobbyTown USA in Minnetonka on hopkins crossroads and hwy. 7. They have gas and electric sedans and gas and electric trucks.

I have a 13 turn mod motor.

I have a 15 turn motor in my rustler and I don't spin yout unless i try. Ladies_Man you may wan't too play around with your suspension setup. You should never settle for a bad handeling car. Every car cand handle good, some cars take more effort than others (like my rusty she took 2 years before I figured her out).

THere is one thing that you could try that I always did for onroad. You should cut your foam spacer into 3 or 4 equal pieces, and then adjust your battery placement. In your case, put it further back. You can also put the stock springs on, put some medium weight oil in, maybe around 20-30 weight and have the shock collars all the way to the top of the threads. THis should help you out a lot, it did for me. I have tried with hard springs it sucked, but with the body roll of a soft setup, it helped me a lot.
