good morning,
i have the kyosho mega force with the stock .15 engine.

i'm getting ready to purchase a new engine. i want to get rid of that electric starter. too many problems with thath.

some of my friends say i should get a .12 and others say i need a .15. they almost got in a fight over it. which os engine would you guys reccomend for the mega force (tmaxx clone)? the .21 is out of the equation. thanks for the help.

i would like as much power as possible!

You shouldve jus gotten a T-Maxx in the first place:p! Anyways I would have to say O.S makes the most bang for the buck .15 out there. It is the CV-RX. If you want there is picco but you would have to have a 360 header and all the trick stuff to get it to fit. If your lookin for a bit more power and reliability you should check out the Hot Bodies .18. Hopefully i've been some sorta help.

The Novarossi .12 makes more power than a lot of .15's:rolleyes:

I would suggest getting a .15 when i spoke to the hobby shop they told me that the .12 engines run higher rpms for more top speed while the .15 are more for torque. I have the os .15 hyper and it works well for me in my gt. If you want more power go with the os .15 cv-rx but becareful and make sure your drive train can handle the power.

first of all, mega force is not maxx clone, second you can out in .15 cv-rx, or maybe .12 tr its rear exhous and 1,1hp so close to 15cv-rx, and why not to put .12 in MT i know that mt are made for bigger engines, but power is the one that counts

Power is the one that counts, but its where on the RPM power curve the power is found. If you get an engine that makes all its power and torque at the upper revs, the MT wont pull wheelies, and no matter how you tune it, it will be somewhat sluggish to accelerate. (Not sluggish sounding, but sluggish accelerating) You will get more top speed though, or will you? Since a MT is a lot heavier than other trucks, the power just may not be enough. Of course if you want to put a .12 racing engine in, you will go pretty fast, and lose a little on acceleration. But i would rather spend less and put a good .15, or better yet a .21 in that produces lots of torque and better power for my monster truck.
