The Mission is the best. It has been winning races all over the place. It is easy to drive, and very easy to tune and work on. The guys at my track who always win and I drive missions, shouldn't you?

Hi, i have bought a mission S1 but it keeps grounding on the brick floor. How do you make the car higher and ios there any way to protect the bottom of the chassis.

p.s i only run a p2k2 pro

thanks

jackv202 - Associated makes a chassis protector. You can try that. I am going to use it for outdoor season as well

Hello, anybody there? This thread is kinda dead huh? Anyway's, my son ran our new mission yesterday on a damp asphalt track, and for the condition's it did pretty well. We open our electric outdoor season next Sunday, and he will run the car in novice class; he's 9 year's old, with about 10 main win's to his credit so far. I'll get my mission as soon as I sell another one of my other car's.
We went to the Snowbird's and I was very impressed with the Schumacher car's and driver's down there. I have already found alot of technical help too, for setup's and such. I'll keep you updated on how the car does. Gotta go.........Henry:D

The s1 is excactly the same as the carbon, but the chassis, shock towers etc. are in Carbon composite insteads of carbon fibre.:D

LOL!! :D

Is that a green machine 3 in the schuey? I have (had) one but something somehow got in there and it blew :( Gonna get some money for a Core or summat.

Here is my Axis 2 I have at the moment (although the Mi2 is now out :D so I'm getting one of them very soon)

BTW the motor isn't wired wrong; I took off the negative motor wire coz I was trying to see what was wrong and the wire was in the way

KTRTS
03-16-2004, 03:04 PM
Nope, that's a peak charger :)

How hot are they after charging. Are they too hot to hold you finger on?

samcook
03-17-2004, 03:11 AM
they are nearly to hot to hold, they make your fingers hurt a little but you can still hold them

KTRTS
03-17-2004, 11:07 AM
Umm I know some of the cheap chargers do over-heat when the battery's capaticy is too big (yours are 3300, this MAY be the problem). Also, make sure the charger can charge NiMHs. Some are only suitable for NiCD :)

samcook
03-18-2004, 03:18 AM
the charger dosent get hot at all so i think that will be alright as it can charge NIMH cells i just wonderd if it would damage the battery if it got hot

KTRTS
03-18-2004, 12:59 PM
Check in the instruction manual/ webite to see if it can charge NiMH. I imagine it should though.

samcook
03-18-2004, 01:06 PM
it can charge NiMH cells i read the instructions:)

KTRTS
03-19-2004, 02:51 PM
I'm not sure then. Maybe there is a bad cell?

Buy it from my LHS here in the UK.

www.accessmodels.com has the contact details on.
I was in the shop yesterday and they had 2 Mi2's in stock, a carbon one for £230 and an S1 one for £190.

They do mail order worldwide, but not online. Give them a call.

KTRTS
03-25-2004, 11:16 AM
Carbon for £230? That's like £20-30 cheaper than normal

I have just finished building mine (S1). It's easy to build (mostly ;) I had one or two small problems which I have fixed) and is very quiet. THere's not a lot of grip with the stock set-up. I have put some yellow (hard) springs on the front, lowered the ride height, which should add some grip. I might also put some grey springs (meduim-soft) on the back :)

Hobson
03-26-2004, 10:41 AM
Yep, that is cheap - and seeing as I'm sponsored by that shop, I can get the carbon one cheaper than the RRP of the S1 version! Pity I can't afford either though. :(

I'll stick with my Carbon Mission 1, it hasn't let me down so far. :D

www.rcracechat.com has loads of Schumacher team drivers on there, like Mark Burgess, Jason Butterfield, Simon Moss, Colin Jackson, Matt White, Keith Robertson etc. Have look in the Schumacher section to get their latest setup info.

BTW - I'm on there too. 'Garry'.

Sweet job with the sponsor :D

I can't deny my mi2 is better than the Axis 2 I used to have...

Hobson

I have the Mission 1 and the difference is soooo much. Light years!

Anyone seen a Warpspeed conversion for the Mission, which allows you to run Losi XXXS suspension, and turns the servo 90deg?

helo i own a Xtm nitro X-cellerator a Thunder tiger TS-4n and a traxxas 4 tec ep i am going to be selling the tsn and the 4 tec and getting a misson whith some good gear.
at the moment i have a nosram tomahawk esc and a nosram vision modifiged 17x2 in my 4 tec which i will be keeping to go in the misson when i get it i got some new batts on the way.
i was just wondering have you got any words of advice on the bulding of the misson?

also what radio systems are you useing? im thinking about geting a sanwa dash saber stick control as i have 2 pistol controls which are ok but i like stick more. :D

KTRTS
04-06-2005, 02:16 PM
It's a pretty simple build- I've never had a problem with Schuey instructions. Make sure to use threadlock- and its a lot easier if you think about which internal ratio you will use (ie whether to install the 17t pulley or the 20t pulley)- saves a fair amount of time ;)

Duff
04-07-2005, 09:22 AM
well if i tell you that the esc i will be running is the nosram tomahawk and the motor im running is a 17turn double as iv said and i will most likey be useing 20 teeth 48dp to a 30 teeth 48dp pinoin what pulley would you recomend?

KTRTS
04-08-2005, 06:25 PM
It only really matters if you're racing; will you be?

If you're not then it's not really important as to which pulley is used.

Duff
04-10-2005, 05:01 PM
yes im hopeing to start racing.

KTRTS
04-11-2005, 05:33 AM
In that case, you need to find out what sort of track you will be racing on. The 20 tooth pulley gives a higher ratio= faster but not as good acceleration, whereas the 17 tooth pulley gives a lower ratio- lower top speed, but more acceleration (it's basically like changing the pinion and spur).

You're probably better off using the 17 tooth pulley whether you're after acceleration I find the 17 tooth pulley is punchier than the 20 tooth one, no matter what gearing you have. Some people prefer the 20 tooth pulley, but I can't quite see why :p :D
