I will be reciving a .60 Size Trainer With OS .60 (.61??) size engine and wanted to know what the best percetage of Nitro I should use for my plane. It's a two stroke engine if that helps.

15% should be fine. Good luck!

What about 20% Nitro Fuel will that work?

Yes....it will actually make your needle adjustments easier with a higher nitro content because the extra exlosiveness makes it more forgiving. The lower the nitro, the more you have to be "on the money" with your adjustments. Just make sure you run it rich, and do not go full throttle until four or five tanks have gone thru the motor. Then lean it a little but make sure you see a trail of smoke......not smoke...too lean.

Perhaps you could also help me. I have mounted an OS 48 4 stroke inverted and am unable to achieve a reliable idle. I am using F type plugs and 5% nitro fuel, the engine dies after disconnecting the glow driver. I would prefer not to go to the expense of an onboard unit. Should I change fuel, plugs or what? Thanks.

Cameron,
The first thing I would do is to take out the cone shaped noise reducer out of the muffler if you have one. Next I would lean it up the mixture. Lean it by two clicks and take of the glow igniter. Repeat the process untill it will idle. You should have no problem. That carb has a low end and a high end adjustment doesn't it? I am not sure. Adjust the low end first then adjust the high end. Hope that helps....I wish I had it in my hands.....it is easier to hear and feel than to explain verbally. Good luck buddy!
