new to r/c sailboat. just purchased the fortune 612, the boat sails beautifully!

i agree with the review by van tassel in this past june issue of boat modeler, regarding the weak sail servo.

i'd like to do as van tassel suggests and replace it with a stronger one. i'm unable to find the torque specs on the PREFEX servos that come with the fortune 612.

any suggestions on servos with the same dimensions as the PREFEX but with a higher torque?

I just got a Fortune this week. I'm in the process of setting it up.

As for the servo, it is a standard size. So any standard servo will work and you can choose your speed and torque.

kyosho for some reason uses servos that are not waterprof.
When replacing them with standerd servos use futaba or hitec.
they even say it in there info sheets. (not waterprof)
if you get water in the boat dry the servos right away.
you could use RTV around the bottom of the servos to help keep them dry.
May you always have fair winds and following seas
