I've heard that tail draggers are a little harder to take off until you get the hang of it and that's why there usually not on trainers. But If I would have known what I was up for I would have bought a tail dragger right off the bat. I now own a Greatplanes PT-40 I think is the perfect trainer, but just that. It's not the flying that i don't like, it will fly in my clubs fun fly contests just fine. It's the landing gear, they make that little steering out of plastic and bends every time I go out to the field. It's not just me eather, it's kind of funny at first but every one at my field flyies tail draggers, now I know why. I was just wondering if anyone has this problem and what they did to fix it.
I have settled on converting it to a tail dragger, then i think I will burn all the little steering arms I have. That way that can't come back to haunt me.
Simpily,
Joe
