Yeah, it'll be stateside in a few weeks. Good for them it's not based on the Pro3. Hopefully its more than a warmed over Pro2

I think it's based or closely related to the Sport 2.
It seems like a fun little Car, I wish it came in a Kit though.
What should I gear a 17t motor at? I race on a tight carpet track with 30 yard straight, if that matters any....
Thanks

you want a kit? buy a sport 2 then. HPI has stated that the Sport 2 is better and has more hop up potential.

HPI has stated that the Sport 2 is better and has more hop up potential.
Where did they say that? True, the Sport/Pro2 has been out a lot longer, so there are plenty more parts for it. However, the design is wearing long in tooth. Besides, HPI mentioned the Sprint is the first in a new line of cars. I have a feeling HPI has more up its sleeve, ultimately replacing or updating a lot of its products. Otherwise, why have the Sprint and Sport2?

Just wanted to make sure we were talking out the HPI Sprint Porsche 911 GT2.
I darn obsessed with the thing, its just so hott! The only problem I have heard it has had from a driver for the RC Car Action mag. was that the Norsam speed controller was set for 50 percent brake and 50 percent reverse. Thus, when you applied hard braking, you went into reverse, and the belts skip, which in the long run... not good. Yeah, I would like to see some pics if anyone has a 911 :D
Here are some I found from the internet just to give you a look.. most of you have probably seen it before :p:

Personally, I like the Porsche body better, what about you?
I personally like the Citron Saxo, extremely fast it is:)
Has anyone tried to fit a Mini Cooper body on it?

the citroen is only made in the uk i think. the states only get rtr versions of the porche and benz. i hope i spelled those right. i race mine. why is there 2 threads for sprints? i am about to up the gearing in my car but unsure on how high i should go.

well, i race my sprint over here in the UK. i have only changed my oil to 55 weight cause the 30 is a little too thin. i have 2 bodies to chose from to race. a dodge stratus and lotus. both unpainted so i don't know how the feel. i have carpet dragons too and they love the carpet. i have a p2k2 pro and i need to rebuild it. our hall just opened back up so i don't know how the gearing is on a bigger track. a small one was ok but i need more speed

I run it in the novice stock class and I do well. I moved my rear shocks from the middle hole towards the center of the car. Lets just call that hole #3. I run the M1 tires, the ones that look like real tires, and I did really good last night. I don't have passing skills yet but they are getting there sort of. I took a 2nd place, 1 place, and another 2nd. Not bad for me I do say. The winner of the class has the rtr tc3 and that comes with a stock 19 turn motor. My p2k2 pro was cooking with grease. I need to learn how to do motor maintainence. Since this next friday is Valentines Day, I won't be racing for good reasons so I will have time to paint the dodge and lotus. Has anyone made a belt tensioner for the rear belt? Mine is kind of loose. Hmmmm?

I just bought 2 things to sort of help me go a little faster. 1 is a 31 tooth pinon and 2 is a monster of touring 19 double. Wicked hehe. That pinon takes my gearing up to 5.98. My friend with a stock motor just switched pinons to a 30 and he said WOW what a difference. The hall we race in now is larger so longer straights, more passing lanes, eaiser turns, more passing lanes, and more passing lanes. Wish me luck now. I am converting everything over to power poles.

I just put in another race last night. The first heat, I did not so good. I started first so that was a good sign. My motor keeps on slipping. I changed everything over to power poles and a new speed control without reverse. I feel weird driving forwards only. I ran into a corner and tried to reverse, didn't work, and I tried to bounce off the wall and wedged it in. That shook my motor and dropped it. I had a 205 second lap. I was crusin hehe. The second race, I started 6th and worked my way up to 3rd. The 2 guys that beat me were driving a yokomo mr4tc and tc3. I did alot better and ended up in 3rd with 23 laps. First place had 27 and second had 24. At the start of the 3rd race, I rammed the tc3 cause he slowed on the first corner and spun him. Oppps, I went thru and complete 26 laps and took second. I was flying trying to catch the leader. He beat me by 1 lap. I didn't know there was a 4th race so I went from 2400 batteries to a backup 1400. I let a friend drive the car and he was doing 9 second laps. I could only manage a 10.43 second lap. He almost had high 8's so this goes to show you that it can do really good. The batteries dumped when he was in the lead so he got lapped but stayed out the whole race. Came in last hehe. That is what I get for not having a charger with me. :(

Hehe i think i did already type what i have done to my car not much though i race carpet stock class here in new york. I have changed my gearing 116/36 64pitch i am still working on it, i got 3300 matched batts in a pack already, a p2k2 pro, and a novak dually speed control. I am looking forward to buy new shocks, new radio with reciever and servo, maybe ill change to graphite. I might get a new chassis for the sprint which will be coming out soon so what are your hop ups?!?
minijosh
02-22-2003, 03:33 AM
I don't have any hop ups just yet but I do have the adjustable steering and camber coming in the mail from tower. I got a set of 3000 taging along too. There is a aluminum part I bought too. I know know what it is but it was on the sprint page. I am running a Monster of Touring 19 turn with a 30 tooth pinon with the stock 48 pitch gear so it comes out to be 6.18. I should have bought the 31 to make it 5.98. That is what I was told is a good gear ratio at my track. I am running M1 tires on my HPI rims too. Just bought a new set last night at the race. Have you tried Robinson Racing gears yet? They have alot of stuff for sale and I would like to try them.

Hi all,
I have never been involved in on-road racing so please excuse my ignorance. I have seen the HPI Sprint GTI Saxo... nice car. Would this car race in the same class as say the XXX-s or TC3 cars would? I understand it is the standard 190mm width, but the chasis is shorter. If it does race in the same class, could it compete?
What about indoor carpet tracks? Could this car be run here?
Thanx!

raced last night and I scored 78 points. YEAH for the rookie! My sprint ran 22 laps on the first heat and i got screwed by the wall on the main straight. I came around a little too wide and I clipped my driver side against the wall. My motor is connected to the esc by power poles and the wall grabbed that part and took it apart. The end was still stuck up inside the connector. :( . I had to take the car off and there was no quick fix. Solder or swap motors. I just got my p2k2 pro back from being skimmed and brushed. I was doing good I think until I died. I had to resort back to the 19 turn motor for the last race. So I completed heat one, broke half way thru heat 2 and finished 3rd in heat 3. Not bad for me hehe. My friend with the sprint broke his C hub on the passenger side in the next heat. His Carpet Dragons weren't hooking up so I gave him my new M1's on my HPI rims. Too much grip and he wasn't use to it so he slammed into the wall. Snap. There were at least 8 other people that broke parts to their car. Bad night for race fans.

minijosh
03-20-2003, 01:09 AM
If you are just bashing, you won't need to hop up the motor cause the rtr has a 20 turn motor right? I found a website that does a carbon fiber chassie and shock towers for the sprint. FINALLY! If you just want the car to look good, wheels and tires are a good combo or a new shell. If you race, get a stock motor like the p2k2 pro or revenge of the monster. Change the pinon too. Look at the chart you got with your sprint. Bigger means higher top end speed but you loose out in the punch from corners and off the line. I have a 31 in mine I think and I still pass others with ease. I just cannot handle the turns that good so there is my downfall. HEHE.
Drive4fun
03-20-2003, 03:23 PM
Yes if you are just bashing stick with the motor until it dies out on you that you have to change the armature its a quick motor 23mph about and changing the gears will make it go even faster so you got to see what you are doing then change everything and whats the website for the graphite i know 2 of them already!

adjustable turn buckles from tower hobbies. maybe different pinons larger and smaller, depends on track, robinson spur gears are great from what I have heard. every little bit of lighter parts helps the over all performance. so what it takes of .17 grams, that is less your drivetrain has to push. you know the term there is no replacement for displacement right, if you leave your car bone stock, you are still carrying around all that excess weight. the lighter the car, the more % power goes to the overall car. why do you think little cars are so fast.

I have no idea how to fix that part myself. Sorry. How tight was your belt? Mine is way too lose and I don't even know how to take it off and make it tighter. When you figure it out, tell us so I can fix mine. Does your motor and pinon slip often? Mine does about everyother race. No I don't have washers between the motor screws and that purple motor mount. Metal to metal should be the best connection. What is my problem?

minijosh

the motor is easy. I use power pole connectors to connect my motor to my esc. It will make you do some soldering but once you make the switch, it is easy as 1 2 C. DOH! Just buy a cheap soldering iron and some solder and you are in business. You will have to change the lead from the esc to the motor too though.

now all you have to do is this,
buy a soldering iron about $14.00
buy some solder about $3.00
buy connectors look into the most used local brand cheap too
buy wire cutters and that is it.
I power pole my batteries too. Better current flowing thru to esc and out to motor too.

04-07-2003, 07:47 PM
power pole whats is that?? and sould i buy my own batterys and solder it my self or just buy one made??
minijosh
04-09-2003, 01:34 AM
I too buy my batteries in stick packs. I don't like the saddles cause I have seen people blow up esc by putting the wrong connector on the wrong side. Power poles are like your white tamiya connector for your batteries except they are red and black. They have a better connection and will pass more power to your esc and motor. Look it up on ebay. There are others out there too like Kyosho, Tamiya, Deans. I just like power poles and that is just me.

my friend just got a tamya TT-01 he was wondering is there any ugrade parts he can get for it besides the normal one ?? he wanted shocks and can you change that block that has the servo ESC and recvers so it can be 3 def parts
and so on he didnt want to get the sprint as i told him to cuz he said shaft drive is better
think you can help minijosh
i got all my stuff on my sprint and it kicks
minijosh
04-12-2003, 02:04 AM
well, I have not looked at the TT01 yet. I wanted one. I don't know which is better. Shaft or belt. Alot of people here race xxx-s's,tc3's, rs4 pro 3's, sprints, rc labs. and now alot are wanting and getting the team xray car. I will stick with my sprint for a little bit longer. You should ask the TT01 question on the TL01 website. They chat about that car too there. My racing last night was crap and something even worse happened, my switch for my speedo got caught between the carpet and my chassie and snap. Sad am I now cause I gotta fix it. Not too hard but I hate working on something that someone else broke. Oh yeah, I threw on the Lotus Elise body and I found out that there is no rear downforce and I was spinning like a top at all the corners unless I was going slow. Last time I use that POS shell. It looks good though but dang, people were like what is wrong with your car?

unscrew your servo, adjust your trim to the center, turn on your radio, plug in the battery in the car, it should center the servo. i found out that my servo saver twists in the middle so i super glued it together hehe. now it turns on a dime.

ps i already have the other carbom parts its really light and faster handling is like a dream after i got that servo thing fixed so far i only use the car to drift around my house its looks cool well ill post up what othering things imma do to my sprint and whats going up with my hobby

Ohh good job on selecting the Sprint. Upgrade that charger, maybe get some turnbuckles (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXDHS0&P=7) , and your tires WILL get sliced on the inner side if you keep those tires long enough, so good tires wouldn't be a bad idea.;)
Oh yeah, Take out the pre-load C clips on the front shocks, and put the smallest ones on the rear; I got my Sprint to get 2 qaurters above the ground.:D I actually noticed it had slightly better cornering.:)

filipinoguy
06-02-2003, 02:34 AM
Does the ''squeek'' sound more like a ''beep'', If so, thats normal.
Turnbuckles allow you to adjust front and rear camber, and front toe-in. (camber is how straight up the wheel/tire is pointing, inward is negative / \, outward is positive\ /. Toe-in is where the wheels are pointing inward like this / \ from above.
As for the heatsinks, I lost 3 but I don't use that ESC anymore, good luck on finding a way to keep the rest on.
bizaare69
06-02-2003, 08:54 PM

also what gear setting should i get remmber i also still have the stock motor in it:confused:
filipinoguy
06-03-2003, 01:23 AM
Allright I'll try to explain again:o Camber is the angle of the tires/wheels pointing upward, towards the sky. Negative looks like this / \, positive is like this \ /. People adjust camber to slightly negative to get more tire contact during hard cornering ect. and its easier to turn.
Now toe is the angle of the tires/wheels when pointing forward. Toe-in looks like this/ \ toe-out looks like this \ /. Get it yet? ;)

just make sure it is a robinson. They are the best out there. Look in the back of your sprint book and you can see the gear ratios of all the spur/pinon combos you can make. Don't forget you might over gear your motor and kablaam.

yes I race against other 190 and 200 mm cars. I would say another type of car that is like the sprint is the rtr xxx-s, xb TL01, rtr 4 tec, or almost anyother ready to run car. I got mine for a wicked deal and that is why I have one. I started out with a TL01 so it was time to move up to a big boys toy. The Sprint is a good step up from a beginners car. A TC3 suites alot of racers though. Get one of those if like to follow the croud. Mooo.

Do you want a rtr one or one where you add your own electronics? Over here in England, we get both. I can ship using regular post offices so there is no overseas charges. Just a perk for being military. If you want I can ask around for you. HPI did make a sprint by the name of GTI which is a shorter wheel base. Not too sure on what bodies fit it but it is more agile. HAHA I sent the wrong message to you guys. My friend just put down his Spring and got a Pro 3. He increase his laps by almost 5. WOW!!! He is in love with his new car. I wonder how much I will have to sink into my to keep up?
not really much, just a new pinion gear and some good tires and you should be able to keep up with his new car.
and ofcourse a better motor then the 20-turn motor the sprint comes with. like i bought a Trinity P2K2 Pro 27-turn stock motor which is faster then the 20-turn i had in my sprint when i got it. A new motor like the one i got was $30.00 a modified 13 turn wow lol your looking at around $90.00, but i wouldnt want or need a 13 turn motor since my 27-turn is fast enough. but anyways a new pinion gear im guessing cause ive never bought one before but im guessing $4.00-$6.00 and some good tires like $28.00-$30.00. I use 26mm V-grooved HPI tires, those were $28.00, i want to get X-grooved though because they have way much more grip then V-grooved but i forgot how much X-grooved cost lol

So there will be no C-clips in back, and the smallest ones in front (with the removed washer). Get it? BTW I don't always drive around with this setup.

i just want to tell you about my experience in rc. i first begged my parents to get me an hpi sprint. about 2-3 yrs ago. and then when they came out with the 2003 dodge viper i became in love with it and immediatly bought it and painted it red. it looks too cool for words. but later the next year i worked at a farm bailing hay to make money to buy my Tamiya qd sports. then that same year i raced it at a friends house. he doesnt have pavement so i raced in the sand/dirt. it wasnt so much sand that it buried itself but it was sturdy enough to get around. it looked like a real rally car. it was cool. but when we raced it before i went home it wouldnt turn. so i listened and where the steering servo is i listned and it beeped but it didnt turn. so my steering servo was out and i couldnt use that. then i just looked at what i still had which was the dash and started to customize it. i got m compound radial tires and 5 spoke chrome wheels. it looked cool. and then last year i saved money to buy an hpi sprint and i had enough, but for some reason i didnt feel i knew enough about it so i put the money in the bank and went with out it. so this year comes around and i set my mind that i want it, i start mowing lawns to make the money and i work for it. then when i have about $90 my parents say they can buy it for my birthday ( in july) so that makes me happy so i ask them to take me to a hobby shop far away and i get some stuff. i am real big in to good looking cars and bodies, so i bought a Saleen s7r, and a lambo murcielago and some paint. then i bought a nice die-cast model of a blue 2003 concept viper. so i spent all my money. i have made money since then and bought other stuff. but my parents ordered my sprint early and it came today 7/2/03. now i'm going to buy new compound tires and 3mm chrome offset wheels for it. Second i want to buy a good body reamer. then lastly i want to buy more bodies, new motor, esc, and LED head lights and tail lights. and that is how far i am right now. THANK YOU SO MUCH TO WHOEVER READS THE WHOLE STORY;) :D
lol your welcome..i read it..lol sounds like an interestign history you have there. My story goes...one day my dad came up to me and told me he owed me over $800.00 in allowance and im like  geeze thats alota money, cause he hadnt paid me in a year ($10.00 every week :D ) so i think of what to do with the money and i remember i had no R/C cars and well i love R/C cars, so i went shopping around on websites and found..The HPI Sprint..immediatly fell in love with the car. Talked my dad into buying it. It came in a week later got the body trimmed and painted and decalled, then we went out the next few wednesdays to the race track and ran the car well after the second run my stock tires got worn prety bad so we then bought some 26mm V-grooved HPI Tires and some tire glue. but the tires on when i got back home and that thign shot off the first tiem i tested the new tires had supreme handling. Thne a few weeks later i was running my car and this guy came onto the track whith his TC3 and i watched his car it was really fast and it beat a nitro car and im like geeze i cant get my car to go that fast :( well when he was done i walked up to him and asked what motor he was running and he told me a Trinity Monter Motor 27-turns and i asked him how can i get my car to go that fast and he looked at my car and pointed out that my motor was only a production motor and it wasnt as fast as i thought so we went inside and looked aroudn at the motors and i decided to get a Trinity P2K2 Pro 27-turn stock motor and turns out the car was much faster once i installed it. Then later on we went and bought a new ESC cause the motor was acting up and we thought it was my old ESC turns out i had soldered the wires to wrong place on the motor so it wasnt the ESC but hey i got a high performance ESC outa that lol, we also bought a Team Orion Ni-Mh 3300 mAh battery pack and a new Delta Peak Charger that day too so basicly my car wasnow ready for real racing all it needed and still needs is a 29 tooth pinion gear and a person on a go kart would barely be able to keep up with it. And jsut recently I bought a Tamiya 4WD Shaft Driven Hum-V and right now thats where i stand. lol phew that was alot of typing.

Lol good stories guys.:) Do you wanna hear mine.:( OK here goes:
2 years ago I got a Kyosho Alpha EP RTR, was cool for a couple of months but it had some problems which I later fixed, but I wasn't satisfied. Now its sitting in my closet and if I wanted to I could fix it up, and mak it worth driving , but I figured I start over and try something new. I don't know why but I ended up with a mini-Z. I liked it, bought a couple of parts for it then, the ESC fried. Wasn't too happy about that.
(the good stuff) So a couple of months later I saw the Sprint on HPI Europe, and was like ''man if only we had that in the US.'' Couple of monthes later, guesse what, they come out with the Sprint RTR in the states.:D I asked if I could get it for my B-day. Nope. Then just a couple of months ago (4 ) I asked my mom, she said ''you have to ask your dad.''I'm like no nevermind, he already said no. She later told my dad I wanted it, then my dad says ''if you want to waste your money, go ahead.'' I'm like @#%2 yes. So I bought the Sprint. I was soo exited. I couldn't wait for it to come from Tower. Then it finally came. I loved it. Thats around the time when I registered on here. I bought a Duratrax Shark, Team Orion Rush 17x2, Motor spray, and a 34T pinion, and 75T spur for about $50. lol I thought that those gears would take me 30 MPH, but just take a long time to get there.;) lol nope. Then I buy a Daishin Silvia body, and paint it just like the real one. I was pretty happy. Then gusse what happens to me, my freakin' ESC gets fried. This is where my ''downfall'' starts. I have little money left and need an ESC. I wanted a cheap ESC but thought I'd go with a slightly higher end one. I went with a Duratrax Intellispeed 8T rev. along with a Rush 11x2, and adjustable tie-rods/turnbuckles, and a new rear belt for $102.00 It comes, and I'm not 100% satisfied with the motor. Its as slow as my stock Saturn 20T, I think from overgearing it and not breaking it in. Then my 17x2 pooped out (dunno what happened) on me too. So my fastest motor was my stock Saturn one.:( Then my Tamiya plugs got burnt, and my Sprint got slower and my steering was super weak. I ended up buying some Deans connectors, 6 pinions, and a spur. I took forever to install em. It wasn't fun., but it had to be done. So after I install the connectors, my steering is still weak, especially to the right. So I soldered the red servo wire to the red ESC wire like someone advised. I got enough speed and strength, but since then I had a steering/throttle problem that I still kinda have. Next my cousing gave me his wheels and tires and I gave him an old transitter, which was cool cause he helped me out a lot and I helped him just as much.:) So at this point my Sprint is kinda slow and has weird little servo problems. So the only thing I could do to have fun was drift aroung my house on hard wood floor. So I just did that for awhile, since it was emberassing to drive outside in front of ppl. (yes my Sprint was that slow) So I shop around for a motor and batteries, but guesse what, my Shark got fried, and my HPI 1500 has created a memory I think. So my best battery is my 2 year old Piranha 1500. So last tuesday (2 days ago) I went to this hobby shop about one hour away to check it out and get a motor and some batteries. I ended up with another Duratrax Shark (I'll take good care of this one;) )and a Speed Gems Pro 15x2, with an extra set of brushes. NOW, I'm going like 25 MPH, but I still have the servo problem.:( Yup, your crazy if you read this whole thing.
Short summary:
I got a Kyosho Alpha EP RTR, its in the closet now.
Then got a Mini-Z, ESC fried;closet
Sprint, LOTS of problems that happened, but they're allmost all gone. One day my Sprint will be done. One day.
(BTW I think my post is bigger than both of yours DASHer and trw.:p )
darn he beat us DASHer lol. My dad would have not been happy if i had that many problems fortunatly ive had very little problems cause when i go buy things from LHS thats only 30 minutes away i let them recommend stuff for me lol.

i just went and bought some lights plugs and a soldering iron so i could make a discharger so i soldered it up and when i plugged it in one bulb fried but thats it im pleased with it so far my battaries have way more power in them there is a race sunday(tomorrow but i think i need to change my pinion i still got the stock one and i think i have a 93 tooth spur but i think i want a bit of acceleration because the track i race doesnt have alot of straight away so i wont make top speed if i gear for top speedso i only got aq bit of money left so how many tooth should i get for my pinoin?

I am going to say look in the back of the book. The bigger spur you go, isn't it the smaller pinon that will make it start quicker and be punchy??? I still need a front shock for my sprint.

are the belts supposed to rub on the motor?`??

mine rubs right across the top of the motor can. i guess this is normal.

07-12-2003, 04:08 PM
Oh, oké.
why I'm asking is, because a friend of mine drives the HPI rally sprint with a 13t. It's a little overgeared so the motor is getting to warm too tuch, but still ok. Only problem is that the two belts, that are rubbing, are getting warm and extend. After they extend mostly the rear belt isn't tight enough and it slips. There's no tighter posision on that little adjuster thing possible. So what can we (he ) do???

my friend showed me how to tighten the rear belt but i don't remember how. i will ask him again
filipinoguy
07-13-2003, 04:22 AM
vols-std, Yeah with certain gearing the rear belt will rub on the motor. Just tell your friend to get a new belt and maybe gearing that won't rub on the motor can so hard.;)
minijosh, the only way to adjust the stiffness of the rear belt are those 3 different slot positions on the motorplate. (the circle in on the black cover thing is not right in the middle, more in the opposite end of the slot, I hope you get what I'm saying.)
ok about the suspension height. I removed those clips on my dampers but the car sits just awfully too low when im driving in an emtpy parking lot pebbles n rocks tear up the chassis and the fenders on the car body. Is there sumthing not as thick as the stock clips that i cant replace the clips with?
minijosh
07-13-2003, 12:10 PM
no there is a way. you have to disconnect the rear and twist it around. i will get the details.

here is exactly what my friend said on how to tighten the rear
ok you need to remove the spur gear and motor....take the c clip off
the far end of the layshaft so you can slide it out taking care not
to lose the 3 roll pins that are in the shaft, now look at the inside
of the plastic bit that hold the layshaft in place on the alloy
holder thing...theres little nothches in it there should be 2 other
than the one which they are in now....remove the plastic cup holder
thing and it also has a notch on it just like the ti raycer does in
this months car action review ....if you rotateboth cup holder things
so the notch sits in the next notcg on the alloy thing this increases
the tightness of the rear belt as the cup thing is elliptical rather
than circular...

Just wondering, but why do you need to change belts? Are they worn out at all, missing teethe, ect. Anyways, you need this.front belt (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXDHU6&P=7) rear belt (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXDHU7&P=7)

I just picked up my Spritn yesterday. I bought a new charger with it so the lhs threw in a free battery with it. iT looks so coll, can't wait to race it when I get home.
Just a question about parts that came with it. Are the parts on the black plastic sprues extra. Also I got a second spoiler(I presume) with two plastic plates too. Do the plastic plates get glued to the ends of the spoiler. LAstly there was a bag of misc parts with a manual for the speed control. I assume these are extra too.(I haven't opened that bag yet.)
I'm new to rc so any answers to te above questions would be greatly appreciated. Also if anyone has some advice for an rc noob with a new Sprint, I would also appreciate that too.

How lond do the first set of bearings usually last? And when should I start checking out the motor, gears etc for maintenance? Also I noticed the other da that the main belt running the length of the car is sometimes slack and sometimes tight. Is this normal? Lastly that same belt seems to have some deep scratches across the un-toothed side. Anyone know what would have caused this?
