Here are my choices, I wont be getting this for a little bit so ones that are coming out in the near future are ok too.
I am looking for one that will accelerate fast, jump well, good handling, durable( this will be a backyard basher), and overal performance. Here some some that i am looking at, if there is one i am forgeting, please post a pic of it.
New Tmaxx not old
Hpi Savage
Associated BFT( but may be too big for me)
Terra Crusher
Maybe MAd Force
If there is one on this list that you do or dont like, tell me why and same for one that is not on this list. Oh and i dont really want anything ofna. DOnt ask why, my LHS doesnt carry parts.

Definetely either a Madforce or BFT, the MF i a great truck and the BFT is looking to have a great spec.
Also consider the Dominator, I bought one and its just superb.. Very quick, very fast, amazing handling. What more could you want?

The tera crusher might be too big too, i am considering the savage because it seems more like 1/10.

Is it possible to sit the body lower so it looks better? What are the specs on it like speed, acceleration durability stuff like that?

You can sit the body pretty damn low, i agree on the pictures above he has gone way OTT with it, mine i think is good but you can get it lower.
The acceleration is literally SCARY, Scary but controllable.. Everytime i pick up the TX is surprises me at how much of it it has. The top speed is 38mph running the single speed, with a 2-Speed depending on the gear ratio you use its about 45-50mph which is VERY fast for a 1/8 MT. It is also incredibly strong, i am yet to break a thing on mine yet and i have nearly 30 tanks though it and have had some pretty hard hits into solid concrete walls and everything is in great shape still, it can REALLY take ALOT of punishment, you ask any Monster Pirate or Dominator owner and they'l tell you that!

hey, nice pics!!
Your rear shock tower seems to be taller than the stock ones. Where did you get those? I'm planning on doing that too since I dont like the idea of the rear shocks bottoming out before the chasis does.
And what brand of pipe did you use on your dom? Does it perform better than the original pipe it came with?

If you have money to burn, definately T-Maxx. If you're on a budget or a sky jumper, Dominator. These things are "tuff." Get some Ti. Shocktowers and GrumpyTom's Lexan bumpers, you're set.

How did you determine this? GPS unit? Radar gun?

Hairball, its fact ammoung the community. My distributer of Hobao says that a MP 2-Speed will do 55, abit optomistic but it will surely do 45 at least, it depends which gear sets you use.
BangBang, Yup... My rear shock tower is a front shocktower, its a bolt on upgrade but you do need to do some stuff. You need the chassis brace set so that you can fit another front one to the new rear shock tower, you need to drill your bodymounts too and on the cut out hole on the front shock tower you need to enlarge it with a dremel to allow it to fit up to the rear bulkheads and OVER the rear diff, other than that you just need to move the rear upper arms/turnbuckles into the holes where the suspension arms/hinge pins go through on the front.

Does it handle alot better now with an even amount of suspension travel? and one more question, will the orientation of the upper rear arms/turnbuckles change? Thanks!!

I've yet to run it without the sway bars, i'm going to today sometime though.
With the rear upper arms, just screw the ends in more so that they will attach the the hinge pin holes.

I test drove it yesterday bang bang without the sways, it feels alot more responsive and alot more controllable and still very stable, i didn't have that much time to test it though as i didn't have the space and then i sprained my ankle fetching the flathead screwdriver to lean my low end off a little bit!
DOH, Oh how it hurts..

Oh ok! How do you like the handling with the sway bars? Im really thinking about doing what you did to your dom. Not only will it give me more suspension travel but also lessen the risk of bending my dogbones again since the suspension arms wont be able to extend as low as it does with shorter shock towers. Thanks!!
Hope your ankle is feeling better now.

Thanks, its feeling abit better today.
I'd recommend to you taking the sway bars off and seeing how you like it, it should be alot better on the rough stuff without them due to the greater articulation and travel. As for the rest of my suspension i've modded it quite alot, firstly i did the tall front tower mod to the rear and then i enlarged the holes in my shock pistons with a drill & 1/16" Drill bit and re-filled them with 50wt, its a HIGHLY recommended mod to do drill your pistons, it makes the Hyper7 shocks so much smoother and softer.. Like a Monster Truck should be.
