I need some input here. I have on my Emaxx, twin Trinity Monster Wilds, and a 4 battery pack chassis. Now, there was so much torque, I had to put in aluminum CVDs. Once those were installed, I ran the truck twice - no problem.

NOW, however, I've destroyed the slipper clutch. It won't catch, its sheared off the friction pegs and worn a groove in the spur gear. So, I've ordered new parts for all of those.

I was wondering if there were any higher test slipper assemblies out there for the emaxx? Does anyone know of upgrades? I know there are plenty of spur gears out there.

Thanks,

having it miss-set can cause problems too. I've seen some e-maxx parts from supermaxx for the tranny, and steel spurs are available i think, so theres a start.

Robinson Racing makes a nice slipper kit for the T-Maxx/E-Maxx. Good luck.

Yup. I understand the Robinson slipper setup is pretty good. I remember your other post about the 4 batts. I'm glad it worked out with the 2 super roosters.

You're not going to like this, but with all the power you seem to have, you might start wrecking idler gears if you tighten the slipper too much.

Well, since installing the Monster Maxx motors, I have slowly begun a campaign down a road which will no doubt end up with me replacing every part of the drivetrain...

I'm going to step down from either 4 batteries - and only strap 2 in, or just put the Titans back in... I'm leaning towards the Titans, because this way, I can keep the EVX, keep longer runtime, still have ample power, but not tax the ESC (or require a new set up) or any other parts of the drivetrain.

I ordered the Robinson slipper clutch, as per draggerman's suggestion, so I'm just waiting for that to arrive before I begin thrashing the neighborhood. again.

I need to put some pics up - you should see this truck... 90% blue aluminum, headlights, 4 battery chassis, Aluminum 5 spoke rims...

It's my baby...
