Have you ever been kicked out of a park or a track for having a certain kind of car or something else? I've been kicked out of a park with my dad's superRS4 cuz some jerk with a tamiya blackfoot claimed he had the same frequency and that he was there first and and then he told a police officer! And once four years ago, Me and my dad were yelled at by an old hippie because we were running a nitro powered boat on a lake and the jerk thought it was polluting and we left:mad:

Yeah, mikeshobbyshop.com
They stopped allowing gas right after I bought one due to "the mess". I guess it was the oil on the track or something.
About the park, here in Dallas the have a sound limits (has to be super qiet) but nothing about electric. I would have just ignore the guy and wait till he left. If he was a real jerk about it turn on your radio and try and make his p.o.s. crash.
People are always uptight about something.

Gotta be careful where you run the boats. There's a pnd near my house where you can take full sized boats(for fishing) but you can only use the trolling motor. No gas powered motors allowed. It's not uncommon. I run my electric boat there all the time.

rejokerr, they banned nitro at Mike's for many reasons. "The mess" they talked about was all of the idiots who tried to fill their fuel bottles without a funnel and got fuel all over the pits. Guys were leaving half full juggs of fuel lying around. It was this one group of guys that did it the worst. They left crap and nitro goo all over everything. They also had no consideration for others on the track. They would have their own little private races on practice days with like 15 cars all racing around the guys just driving around. They last straw for Mike was when they held one of their races the WRONG WAY around the track. They all got banned but they came back anyway. After that, no more nitro. It both sucks and blows.

Me and four other friends are the only guys who have Nitro RC's around where I live. Most people love to see them run. The only time We've ever been asked to leave was last winter at our local walmart. The guy who runs the gas station right next door asked us to move to the other side of the parking lot because the Nitro fumes were giving him a buzz. He also had a headache from listening to 3 of 'em run. I had a stinger pipe on mine, and the other two had the MIP touring car pipe on theirs, so they were extremely loud....
We politley moved as requested and went about our buisness.

oh yea i've been yelled at alot. Just my luck that I have a DNR guy as a neighbor. hehe. He has a little patch of grass between his driveway and the next house and it is a SWEET kicker. i go hlaf throttle with my storm and it gets like 15 ft. in the air. anyway, before i can do that he comes screamin' out that its noise pollution. i stick to the street and my lawn now but still occasionally go and hit it some more.. :D
one neighbor has called the cops on me 3 times and every time the cops come by they just think its cool and want to know more about getting into the hobby. lol. i tell them that i dont yell at him for running his weedwacker so he should yel at me for running my cars. hehehe.

Yeah, I've also had some cops arrive to my parking lot. I don't know if someone called them on me, but every single time, they seem to think it's absolutley killer and about three times, I've had them stay for about 1/2 hour.
One night, I was at the local high school parking lot, and the police came by and said that someone had complained that there were two guys up to no good out here. When the officer came to the scene, He was floored by the accelration of the cars. He called two other officers to the parking lot to check it out. When He found out that I had another Nitro RS4 in the car, He ordered me to take it out and let him have a crack at it!!!!!
I let him and the other two officers have at it and they took turns driving while the other one was trying to shoot it with radar. They wound up staying for about 2 hours. At about 1:00 in the morning, the guy who had called the cops in the first place came to see what in the world was going on, and the officers explained everything and said that we were cool. Even the guy was impressed once he found out that we weren't doing anything bad.
Could you imagine to just so happen to ride by your High School at about 12:30-1:00am and find 2 cars, and three cop cars in the parking lot with some old guy in his nightgown huddled around three RS4's watching them fly around the parking lot????
I wish I had a camera that night because it was quite amusing to see four guys re-discover their inner child...
