is it true that you can learn a rc helicopter on your own unlike an airplane where you need a pro to show you what your doing wrong? now i talking electric helis.

not true, buying a simulator like G2 can teach you to fly both planes and helis but you still need someone to fine tune a heli setup. A plane you might get right by following a manual but not a heli pitch/throttle curve.
