All I can say is WOW!!! I bought a Super Hawaii from my job and got it all built. I put in two Speed Gem 17t mod motors and a Super Rooster speed controller. I took it down to the marina today for its first run. It got up on plane and took off like a rocket! I was very suprised with the boat's preformance. The only problem was that the two mod mod motors ate up my batteries power like crazy. Even one of my 3000 mAh matched racing packs only lasted about 5 minutes. Also, with no ventilation the motors got smoking hot. My boss suggested that I rig up a water cooling system. It looks real good. I can't wait to go back and try it out. I'll post some pics later.

Awesome! I love hearing success stories. Got any pictures to share?

Definitly set up some water cooling. In the future you might want to consider running 12 cells and a Speed 700 motor on direct drive. But one day at a time, LOL.

Everybody likes baby pictures!:D It looks like you already have some water-cooling but you need more. Buy some aftermarket coils or make your own from some soft brass tubing. To make your own, wrap the brass around a "D" cell battery, then remove. It will give you a snug fit around your motors.

The gearbox is stock and is holding up much better than I anticipated. I plan to make the bearing upgrade soon.

is the drive like an inboard/outboard kind of drive or is it a surface drive or something else
