After two years, I'm STILL having a blast with these GWS Stik Things. :)

Is this indoors, or out? :D

Hi Sr71fan,

Night flight with obstacles and table landing (?)... :D
I understand you.

FLB,

Table takeoffs and T&Gs, but no table landings due to lack of brakes. Hmmm.... that gives me an idea. Anyone got any WIRE?

Here's another shot... Photos by me.

Gary! Where've you been hiding? I would have expected another new model (or ten) from you by now. :D

Tony,

Well, I helped a friend design this...

Michael Connally of Mineral Wells, TX flies the heck out of it. I call it the "OuttaRound". I took the pictures while he was flying.

I made some changes to the ever-popular "And Now" such as "all-flying tail feathers" and christened this one the "And How". It's a lot of fun. Michael Connally took the photo.

And what has Tony been up to?

Gary,

How about a 24" upscale of Chris O'Riley's Micro Pitts? :D Not quite ready yet, but getting close.

Tony,

Way too cool. Anxious to see it in the air. Very nice work. I knew you were hiding something. :)

I'm almost ready to fly my FanTastic Models GeeBee.

Gary,

That's going to be cool! Your model room there has some interesting things, too. Is that one of the little Funcraft FF models in the LL corner? And is that a BE18 hanging from the ceiling behind the Wing-E?

Tony,

In the lower left of the photo is a Cox Highway Patrol free-flighter from Wal-Mart. It looks a lot like a Cessna with the newer-model swept tail. It flies great as a FF; haven't converted it yet.

I don't know what a BE18 is, or a Wing-E. In the top left is a SimProp Spad XIII, to the right of it is an IFO (SFO), the next one to the right is a Scooter wing which flies without the rest of the Scooter, and finally, a little piece of my profile B-25. Behind me is the red tandem-wing DragonStik, and to the right of it is an Ed Couch design called an NG2 (for Next Generation 2). It looks a lot like the popular Kolibri, but has some improvements.

Did that answer your questions?

Gary :)

Yep, that got 'em, Gary. I just misidentified all three, is all. :o I started to guess B-25, then thought that the wing & fin structures looked like a Be-18, which is an old Beech twin. I thought the Scooter wing was a Wing-E, a model I've seen on E-Zone.

Hi Gary!
Nice looking Gee Bee! :D

I have one question though, maybe I missed it in previous threads but what in the heck was the "Dragonstik" made from? The P-38 from another thread, the Dragonstik, man we could start a show called "Junkyard Parkflyers"!:D

Really though, I've "hacked" a few things together in my time but that one really caught my eye. (Maybe cause I probably have all that stuff, just not put together like yours)

Ray,

The DragonStik is simply two sets of LiteStik or PicoStick wings put on a single fuselage. I added a tail boom using part of the stick from the second kit and attached a vertical stab and rudder.
Elevons are on the rear wing. There is no horizontal tail. Powered by the motor and gears that came in one of the kits (DX-A) and 10/4.7

I love to experiment. :)

I never did a thread on it.

Here's another photo.

Tony,

I really feel stupid, now. I know what a Beech 18 is... I just never saw it as "BE18". That gives me an idea!:D

Have you flown the Pitts?

Gary,

Don't feel bad; I've worked for the FAA for 15+ years, and even with 9 of those years in the Tower, I'm not the greatest at identifying aircraft. As for the Pitts: it flies great!! The way I have the Orion Elite Micro Modified geared (6:1, 9x6 APC SF, 2x1020 Kokams), the motor is loafing, but the plane still has plenty of power.
