So I am building a XXX-T MF and am currently assembling the front turnbuckes. What I have noticed is when I screw the titanium into the plastic buckle, the plastic tends to stretch even turning white in spots at the edge. I am just wondering if this is normal? I did use the supplied grease.

Thanks...

That didn't happen with mine, but I have heard of that happening to others. It is not a big deal unless the appearance really bothers you. RPM rod ends are a good replacement for the stock ones.

If it doesn't seem to cause a problem, leave it the way it is. The RPM rod ends are fairly thick, so upgrading to them would just mean a longer duration between replacement.

The same happened on my XXX-T MFE, and to be honest I don't like it one bit. But to be fair, I havn't broken one yet (but then again, I very, very rarely break anything.. as happens when you don't crash :p).
