Designing, building, and writing software for an "open" automatic lap scoring system for races. The design's already mostly done.

My idea is to just build a track as I should start soon but I am 16 almost 17 and we're out of school this week and next so I should be out there working but when shcool is back I have afternoons and my main goal is to find another job... I can save up any money now so that means I can't buy any good RC's.

I've got a few projects I might get at this winter:

1. 4wd Stampede, cheap, and looks challenging enough to keep my interest.

2. Homemade RC Hovercraft, also cheap, and I already have a spare 4ch radio lying around...

3. Palm size monster truck, and no, I'm not going to tell you how I plan to do it until I prove that I can, :D

That, plus my usual painting and rebuilding should fill up my evening nicely :)

Scale Pick-Up trruck. Not sure which one right now though. I'm using Monster Pirate Diffs and axles and Front suspension, but other that that it's going to be all custom. And if I get an airbrush for Christmas I'll be painting a lot too.

Winter projects eh? Here's mine:

1. Acquire a Tamiya XB Pajero Rally Sport, and put my Unimog Body onto the chassis. Like this guy did: http://pic4.picturetrail.com:80/VOL59/717544/1215152/14131385.jpg

2. Restore my Tamiya King Cab

3. Restore my Tamiya Hornet

4. Build my "Buddhacon Trail"

5. Post pictures for you all to see

6. Get a XXX4, B4, and a Mini-Z monster truck.

I'm thinking of buying a Tamiya F201 and trying out the local indoor track. This will be my first attempt at on-road. These things look soooooo sweet.:D

first off, a Tamiya Juggernaut is on my X-mas list....
(I already snuck and saw the receipt in my wifes purse).

My main project is to build a boat trailer for my N. Rustler to pull and a car trailer for my TMaxx to pull my XXX.

lol I remember the last time I did that. Snooped around in my parents closet and found all my presents....neatly put them all away....except for one little receipt. My parents took all my presents back and got me different stuff. I didn't snoop much after that:rolleyes:

Ah yes, cool idea. I was thinking of a truck with a Jugg 2 body, and Tamiya Pajero axels, tires, and wheels, or just spend my Christmas cash on a Hummer...depends on whats cool...

I am going to design my own Electric Touring from ground up. It is really a school project for my machining major but it will take most of my time.

So, I guess I do have a little project, to get it running. Right now all that is on my list is fuel line and oil. :)

hey pudder, where did you accquire that? I've driven those before when I was in my country of Vietnam. What's the displacement on the one you have? I was planing to get a moped like that but I don't know where to find those. :-)

I have a storage room attached to the house full of stuff that I am going to put in a shed that I bought a few weeks ago. Then I'm going to set up my workshop in the storage room and begin on my project. I'm going to build a 2wd truck that will fit under an old Bolink Chevy S-10 Blazer body and paint it black to match my real Blazer. I'm going to use an old RC10 transmission w/32 pitch gears and a 380 motor, for realistic performance. I have some Tamiya Ford Ranger tires and rims to put on it. The suspension will be made up of both Tamiya and Associated parts with oil shocks. The most difficult part is getting the right combination of suspension arms, dogbones, and axles to get the tires to fit inside the body. Yes, the track will be narrow, another reason for the slower motor. Plus, with a 380, I ought to get about 20 minutes of run time. I'll leave the fast driving to my other cars.

Turns out it is actually my moms bike, but she doesn't drive it anymore so it was just sitting out in the back of one of my sheds in my yard. It is 350 cc. :)

Man, when you said that, I was about to say "You lucky devil, I wish someone would have a bike lying around and give it to me." but that was until I remembered I have a 2002 TTR-125L sitting in my garage right now.:D And its all mine!:p And I will soon get a TTR-225 because I will soon out grow this bike and it will go to my little bro. I'm so lucky!

But that is definetly cool. I still do wish I had that. 350cc, hell yeah!

I would want something like 100cc or 150cc which I am used to riding in my country, but it's not legal for me to ride over here becuase I am underage :-(

Well, my new job is coming up soon, so I'll have a little more to work with. I will invest in some gauges for my XXX-S, get a brushless setup, and get into slot car racing. My LHS should have the track set up before the end of the month.

Buy and Evader ST

Hop it up with all aluminum.

Get some mud paddle tires.

Have some fun in the snow :D

I have a used Evader if you be interested for 40$, PM me.

Tstalion79
10-21-2002, 09:45 AM
Yeah, dude, evaders kick ***** for their price. They drive just like a T3 for the most part, but they are about 1/2 the price! The stock motor sucks, but whatever.

I'm planing on getting a 17T Speed Gem, and a Novak Explorer II for it, I need more speed :D

By the way, the ESC in the evader is actually quite smooth. If you wanted to race stock or anything, keep that esc. It works great.

My winter projects are:

1. Auction all of the r/c stuff I dont drive (my rush and a couple of kyosho kits)

2. Do some bling bling hop ups on my Terra Crusher (parts are on the way)

3. Make my Kyosho Landmark 2 a badass parking lot racer. ( Getting rid of the Kyosho engine and getting a OS engine. Also adding a 2 speed tranny!)

4. Winter bonus = HPI Savage!

Hmmmm....winter project eh? Thinkin an IHI turbo, SPO front mount intercooler, HKS injectors, ECU, JUN downpipes and catbacks, Mugen ported heads, JUN mild cams, lower compression pistons and rings for '99 Impreza RS.:D
No wait...you mean R/C?!?! :p
I am thinking about a Mugen MRX3...if anyone has suggestions for the MRX3, let me know, i.e. radio, engines and misc. not for any sanction racing...just wanna beat a friend's 450HP Camaro in a 200 yards run.
I just got done building a NTC3 with Fantom FR12. But am thinking of Hard Core Racing's titanium/aluminum replacements/rims...purely for "oohs and ahhs" factors.

There, I've set out my "penny for your thought"...those who "puts in his/her two cents" will NOT receive change:D
